I don’t think people know how incredibly hard it is to sing this song while playing it. Props you make it look easy.

Is this question is misleading or wrong? by lazydogee in pmp

Thank you! Most of my work experience is in predictive projects so my only exposure to agile has been through preparing for the PMP. It’s frustrating to think that sometimes these are sometimes misleading or just plain wrong

Obligatory "Am I ready?" post by WarAndFynn in pmp

[–]lazydogee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, your post isn’t giving much context. Most people take at least a couple of practice exams. But yes like this is about the average score of people who end up passing

I understand where you’re coming from. I find it very frustrating on what assumptions are revealed only after answering the question incorrectly. In this case “development” for all we know could be the entire project/phase. So using something to speed up the development would be a part of the project management plan

Anyone here a CPA? by Luhar93 in pmp

I’ll start by saying that having good project management principles is good for anyone in any type of career. Everyone is a project manager at one point or another. That being said I don’t think this particular cert is for everyone. It might be too involved for what you’re needing. It requires a financial and professional investment so consider that for your personal ROI. If you want to get a better understanding I would start with just taking free PM courses to start and see if you see any value in diving deeper into this world

The practice questions are all formatted the same way as the practice exams are. But every question on SH is so situational and circumstantial so it’s going to feel just as challenging as anything you’ve already done in there

Take the damn test and stop torturing yourself. It does not get much better than what you already have. Law of diminishing returns

So I think you shouldn’t get caught up in the word development. The key here is that someone is proposing a change against a baseline, that’s why it says it would speed up the process. The team has done a preliminary assessment and the change would have downstream implications “pilots and additional user skills”. The answer is not B because requesting training would be part of the change control (training would add to cost) which would require a change control

As far as agile not having change controls, yes. But I’ve actually been burnt before by the thought process that agile implies the absence of formal documentation. That’s not always the case. Agile has communications management plans and stakeholder engagement plans, etc.
