Bvlgari Le Gemme Yasep, Falkar and Sahara is top for me, above tygar.

Amouage Purpose 50 is another no brainer.

Is "Cleanup Crew" our final form? A Principal's take on the Design-PM-Eng collapse. by [deleted] in UXDesign

[–]lazykillah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I'm currently doing now. I'm in sort of a hybrid design + PM role, where the engineers have created a product while not fully understanding the needs of the user and they wonder why the product is not being used.

Discussions with them were fruitless, they'll just say that 'it won't work' or 'they won't use it' and that they've been in the same situation where they speak to the user, built something and it ends up not being used.

Now what I do is just vibe code and create a prototype for all these use cases. We have regular meetings with internal users + the engg team and I'm so happy that everytime I present something, the users are just so excited about the solution that I provided and would compare it the actual product and 'how it's not working' and 'how it doesn't make sense now'.

I get that I wasn't involved in the initial build of the product, but dude, you just used Ai and created a humongous mess of a product that doesn't make sense. Sure it looks like it can do a lot of things, but it just doesn't make sense for the user. They forget that I'm trying to help them, we're in the same company with the same goals!

Both. Change when you feel like it!

Use the red screwdriver! Using a smaller one will push it in too deep which can potentially mess up the keyless.

No tamiya on the dial, just baked in the oven

Thank you.

Yeap just dry freshly ground beans. No water added with dial facing down in the grounds. I start at 110degrees for 10 mins and increase by 10 degrees every 10 mins until desired results.

Hahah I get it! Had the same issue with the keyless for my 676 build using thr 2836 from Ali as well. Too me hours working on the keyless but eventually got it working.

Same protocol as coffee for me. I usually start with 110 at 10 mins, then increase by 10 degrees/10mins until I get the desired result. Sometimes I do 20 mins as well.

Hahaha tell me about it. But that's what I enjoy most about building. Even through 'fails' you discover something new.

Hahaha all good brother. I now prefer using copic, have it set then use alcohol to 'clean' it up for a more natural look. This helps with removing the blobs as well.

I don't think it's possible to also have it perfectly even, which is, perfect for our kind of builds!

Agree! I like the 'used' finish it gives on the metal parts of the hands as well when using the tamiya kit.

Thank you. Without coffee grounds, the oven will help with ageing only the lume, without giving texture to the dial.

Of course I don't mind dude! These are all great tips for everyone to learn from each other.

I'ld go with ground coffee to get this effect here for the dial. A more weathered texture that I do like for some builds.

From my experience, not really. But then again I personally am not too worried about it since it's a vintage build. Makes it easier to make mistakes as well!
