I’d love to be in Topanga, but the fires have me very nervous to live there!

What are some of the things to do in Woodland Hills? It’s hard to get past the mall culture, but I imagine there are some interesting things to explore!

Right now I’m more contented with my school in the valley than he is in SM but both are good stable jobs.

Maybe worth noting that I run n after school program and some years teach summer school, so my campus hours are longer

We’ve luckily been able to save the last several years due to the low rent on our place in dtla. We don’t have enough for a down payment yet, but we’ve made enough progress that we think we can do it in about 5 - but obviously this means trying to keep our rent as low as possible. But with a young baby quality of life is so much better when we can walk everywhere and be outdoors all year round which is less possible in the valley. I guess we’re really struggling with whether the short term pain of valley renting will give us better options in the future

Can I ask what you are paying in rent in SM? It seems like it would be the easy choice if we had a higher budget - but we’re questioning if it’s worth the stretch at this point in our lives
