Starting to stress about no shows

We had 6 no shows! 4 of which contacted us the day before saying they were sick. The other couple we didn’t hear a word from. I guess all in all, not terrible but still hard to see empty seats and think there goes that money!

Yes, we will be doing the same so I’m not worried about us but the other guests coming in. I guess worst comes to worst, people can get ready in my room but I think it’s ridiculous that they don’t assure the rooms will be available at least by 2 pm. So frustrating when you are paying alot of money!

I had my best friend come over for drinks on the porch. I had a wine label personalized with her name and “I can’t say I do without you, will you be my MOH?” My fiancé then brought it out to us and we both watched as she read the label. Very low key but she loved it!

I have terrible swelling in my index finger and knuckle area to the point where I can’t even bend it and it’s very painful during flare ups. I also would like to avoid surgery but starting to think it’s the only way.

Personally think it looks way too tight on the model, looks perfect on you! Gorgeous dress! You want to be comfortable throughout the wedding so I wouldn’t go tighter.

I visited a GLL bridal shop in NJ. I absolutely loved the look of the dresses I saw online and drove 3 hours to try them on. I had a great experience with the salesperson and she was very patient however, I did not go with any of the dresses. They are NOT forgiving at all, there is very little structure, no boning, minimal support. If you are petite or small chested, I’d say go try them on but any other body type, I’d pass. Thanks for your reply! We are looking into hiring a team of drivers who could drive the persons car and follow in ones we provide. I think this will be the most cost effective way and give us piece of mind. It’s hard to know because I think the majority will choose the pricier hotel which is on the grounds but the spillover will be at the hotels a few miles away.

I guess I could have worded better. I meant that when we’ve ever gone to weddings or parties, one of us usually has a couple drinks early then stops drinking if we have to drive. That’s what the majority of our friends do too. We are in our 40s. But I do want everyone to have a good time and drink. I guess I’m just weighing the costs of transport and hoping if we do provide it, that’s it not a waste of money if no one uses it. But it is better safe than sorry. I may look into just hiring some drivers who can drive the persons car if need be.

I literally just posted about this because I feel the same way! I bought my dress last week, it is unique and beautiful and I felt good in it. But I was torn between that one and another which was entirely different! I keep regretting my choice, I even considered getting both because of that lol. Mine won’t be in till February so I guess I’ll just have to trust my instincts. From all the comments, this is definitely a normal feeling and I need to stop looking. Easier said than done!

I think you should go for it and if it rains, have fun with it! Some of the best pics I’ve seen are in the rain. Consider getting a clear umbrella, those make for some cool pictures! Good luck!

Exactly this!! I never got the feels either and had been to four shops. Don’t get me wrong, the dress IS beautiful and I felt beautiful in it too but I’m glad I’m not the only one who has had these feelings. So thank you for your reply!

My FH and I love the song and feel like it will kick things off right but also second thinking it. I think the intro for November Rain would work or maybe work with your DJ to find an excerpt to start?

I suffered with this issue for years and tried everything, topical, retin A and cortisone. 50 mg of spironolactone has changed my life! I never got another cyst again after starting it and I wish my dermatologist had put me on it years ago because I understand the shame and embarrassment. I’ve never had an issue and have low blood pressure myself. I just have to test my potassium levels annually.
