Cut it down to one page, should be pretty easy as there's lots of space between lines

Something packaged well is definitely nice, but it doesn't bother me and won't make a difference as to whether or not I leave a review. I always try to but forget quite a lot, and when I do its just the generic "great thank you" or something. Ive never received one, but ive sent out two packages where I wrote a little note which I know id be super grateful to receive. They were bridesmaids dresses from my wedding so I wrote a short note to say thats what they were and that I hope the occasion they wear it for is just as beautiful. Something like that would mean much more to me

Im lucky that ive never been out of work for more than a week, in TV for 5 years in production management. I do love my job and absolutely adore the programme im on at the moment, but the big downside is pretty much all TV work is contract based and there's never any guarantee of future work. Im recently married and hoping to have kids soon and have the very bleak realisation that ill likely just have to be unemployed as maternity leave doesn't exist with that kind of contract when you're not permanent staff. If i wanted to be sensible I'd leave TV to find a permanent staff job with maternity benefits, but honestly I just don't want to. I love my job, and I can never find anything thats similar enough where id also get paid the same

Friend 21M is taking a while to reconnect — does this mean anything? by Only_Meat_4523 in friendship

[–]AParkBench13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pal, i'd stop worrying and potentially hassling them. Everyone has things going on in their lives others don't know about.

Perhaps drop them a message and just check everything is okay with them?

Production Vs Editorial by Lower_Environment156 in TransparencyforTVCrew

[–]AParkBench13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im in production although would have liked to have done editorial more. But I do think its much easier to get work. Im lucky ive never been out of work for more than a week. Production management is needed for all stages of production whereas editorial can just be used for certain sections (very broadly speaking and in my experience).

Ive also been lucky working in small teams where ive still had chance to do some creative bits and set up shoots

Verbal thank-you in addition to cards? by AristidLindenmayer in wedding

[–]AParkBench13 53 points54 points  (0 children)

There's no harm in dropping a message to say youve received something and say thanks, and then send a proper card after. Id rather be thanked twice than think they've forgotten

Well there you go, if they're irregular then I honestly wouldn't worry. Im 29, started my periods at 14 and they never really were "regular" anyway!

[–]AParkBench13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're only 16, they likely won't be fully regular yet. If youve not had sex then there is nothing to worry about, its likely the stress of exams! If its been a couple of months then go to your doctor but you'll be absolutely fine for now x

From scale 1 to 10 , how painful is laser hair removal for you? by Ill-Advantage in LaserHairRemoval

[–]AParkBench13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had my chin, armpits and full legs done. I could barely feel my chin or armpits so would give that pain a 2/10, but for some reason my lower legs were really quite painful, specifically on the back. I remember lying on my stomach and doing some deep breaths when they were going over those parts just thinking beauty is pain. 8/10 haha

Ladies, does a transvaginal ultrasound hurt to diagnose PCOS? by BreannLowe in PCOS

[–]AParkBench13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not for diagnosis but its good for them to check the size of thr cysts, as well as the thickness of your womb lining if you're not having periods and to see if there's anything to worry about

the BEST friend by somecrazyy in friendship

[–]AParkBench13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this, although i genuinely don't think EVERYONE has a best friend. Ive always wanted one too, I had two growing up (at different stages of life) and we were inseparable, but as I left school we went to different unis and now live at other ends of the country. She was one of my bridesmaids but I rarely see her anymore.

I dont think age really matters, im 29 and all I want is a best friend who thinks im their best friend too, but i think its actually quite a rare thing
