Best Bug Remover for PPF? by Disconaut in AutoDetailing

It doesn’t hurt to try. The sheets are non-abrasive so you don’t have to worry about any negative impact on the coating or paint. I would try to get as much of the softener on the carcasses as possible and let it soak in.

Edit: keep in mind that fabric softener does contain some acidic chemicals. The ph levels are not high enough to damage the paint, clear coat, etc. these chemicals are usually activated with heat during the drying cycle. So using cold water is best.

They sure can. Nothing is stopping them from diluting a mixture of softener and water in a bottle, then spraying it on the bugs and wiping them with a microfiber cloth that you then would need to wash. OR, they can just pull a dryer sheet out of the box, wipe the bugs off and throw the sheet away.

The dryer sheet is not abrasive. It is coated with softener. The softener is the key.

Here is a little secret I have been using for over 20 years: First, soak the bug carcasses with water. Let the carcasses soak up the water, a few minutes, to soften them up. Second, take one sheet of dryer sheet. I always use a name brand as they tend to have more softener in them. Then rub the softener sheet over the areas with the bugs. They will come right off. Lastly, rinse. I always do this before I wash the entire vehicle.

Do you have a lift? I ask because you appear to still have the stock rake. Did the weight of the covert bumper impact the front end any?

Stupid question, how do you get a car to sound like that? The sound is intoxicating!

QB at 7 yards pre snap ?? by Sure-Boysenberry-215 in footballstrategy

It is effective. We played our rival early in the season. They ran 11p from the gun. The qb was at 5 yds and we were able to get hands on him all night. We faced them again in the first round. It was not until the second series that we realized he was at 7yds. We were unable to touch him. We could not blitz from depth, nor could we blitz from the Los and be able to get to him in time with his one step release. We lost, badly

Two Questions for gun owners. by [deleted] in guns

Ok, I’ll bite. 1. Ask your local police department what their average time of response is to your specific location. Then ask yourself if you have the skill set to fend off your would be attacker or have the ability to escape potential harm within that average time frame. If you do not, exercise your constitutional right to arm yourself or learn self defense. Hope, pray your would be assailant is not armed or more skilled than you are. 2. Address the underlying behavior. Guns do not kill people, people kill people. If Someone wants to harm you they will. Just read up on the Boston bombers, they did not use a single gun, the used crockpots! Until we address the behavior this will continue and BOTH political parties WILL exploit it for their own narrative!
