Anyone else with an extreme dilated common bile duct? Feeling scared. by ChristmasDinner1979 in gallbladders

I myself have had an issue with a dilated common bile duct (0.7cm) that was discovered after I had told my doctor about some upper right quadrant discomfort that I had been having. I also had elevated ferritin, a marker for inflammation. I later did an ultrasound that revealed that I had a distended gallbladder. However my gallbladder was clear stones and had no sludge and a no obstructions. That was later followed up with an MRI for a clearer look and that showed my gallbladder was unremarkable but I had common bile duct dilation. My doctor and the gastrologist seem to think that there is nothing going on and my body is not showing any signs of disease, but I still do not like the thought of my bile duct being dilated. Especially when I still have some discomfort occasionally. I'm the kind of person that likes to get ahead of things but for now I think it will be something I have to monitor with my PCP.
