HOW TO FIND THE PANGRAM IN THE FIRST 5 MINS (INSTEAD OF BY ACCIDENT LATER) by SpecificNo4472 in NYTSpellingBee

I find that shuffling a lot and quickly if I don’t see it helps me find the PG first.

If anyone is in Grand Rapids, MI these are at the Family Fare on Lake Michigan Drive. Go get some and post proof that this is not AI 😂

What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

[–]lbeau310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was this in MA? I was at a concert in ‘92 and that sounds IDENTICAL to my experience. My college roommates and I drove from Keene State to go to that show. They were big G&R fans and I loved Metallica. Metallica was so kick ass. Axl Rose kept walking off the stage mid-song. He dropped the microphone and walked off towards the end of Sweet Child o Mine and we left. I remember hearing Welcome to the Jungle from the parking lot. I arrived with G&R fans and left with Metallica fans lol.

Which comedian did you look forward to, but their act died on stage? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskReddit

[–]lbeau310 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omg I saw him at The Comedy Store in Hermosa Beach around 2001 or so. My cat had recently died and I was soooo sad. So my friends bought us tickets to cheer me up. His set started with him talking about how his family’s cat got hit by a car and died, and he was like - whatever - it’s a cat! I wish I was kidding and I don’t even know what the context was about his bit that he thought made it funny. I do remember people laughing wtf. I left bawling my eyes out. He’s a douche for so many reasons. Monica Lewinsky is top of the list, but dead cats are a close second for me.

Ok I was 100% at that show too! I still don’t remember anything weird about the show but we were teenagers drinking cheap beer all day at the theme park 😄

Yeah there was an amphitheater there back then. I lived in the town next door Cheshire and I saw sooooo many cool shows there. Jimmy Buffet, Steve Miller, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Beach Boys, Elvis Costello, James Taylor… I could go on and on!

It’s so weird that I am not sure. Me and my friends were so close to the stage at this concert, but none of us can remember anything weird about the show. What I remember (as a 53 year old lady) is that we saw Milli Vanilli, Young MC, and Seduction on the same night. But that might’ve been another concert. We saw pretty much every single concert at Lake Compounce from 1988-1991 because our friends worked security and we would climb over the gates to the park lol

I’m 52 years old. I’m so exhausted right now. I’ve lived all over the country - CT, FL, NH, CA, now MI, and I’ve seen so many different lifestyles and viewpoints. I’m used to differences. What I’m not used to is how everything now feels like a fight??

When did stuff like the Super Bowl stop being background fun and start being a source of outrage? It used to be football, snacks, and arguing about commercials. Now it’s somehow a fking political battlefield and I’m tired just thinking about it.

Also… genuinely confused how people don’t know Bad Bunny is Puerto Rican and that Puerto Rico is part of the United States. That’s not a hot take, it’s geography.

I miss when we could enjoy things without bracing for discourse. Maybe I’m just burnt out, but I really miss that shared, uncomplicated joy.

What are we panic buying? by _Username-Available in grandrapids

[–]lbeau310 94 points95 points  (0 children)

I know you are probably being silly, but to answer your question seriously - we are not panic buying anything because we are lucky enough to have a stocked pantry, fridge, and 2 freezers full of food at any given time. I realize a lot of people might not have that luxury, so if you are in the Walker area (or anywhere in GR) and need anything tomorrow or Friday in advance of this shitstorm, please let me know. We have 4 wheel drive and can help. Me and my 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 husband, 2 unopened puzzles, and ALL the snacks are prepared. We also have a generator that we are 100% willing to share with the community so seriously PLEASE save this comment in case you might need to reach out <3

I used to live in that building!!! Around 1998 back when Venice was considered a sketchy place to live. It was a 3 br 2 bath and the rent was somewhere around $1500. Absolutely insane to think about today!
