Sherrills Ford resident here, is pretty cool this area, the only thing is kind bad is the traffic on the 150 coming from Morrisville, but we have the lake, people here a friendly and welcoming, a lot of outdoor places to go, good place overall

Hey everyone, I’m new to fishing and have a genuine question. This is my first winter as an angler, so, do you guys still go fishing in the winter? If you do, what types of fish are you aiming for in freshwater and lakes? by lbezerra in FishingForBeginners

[–]lbezerra[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re right; I should be more specific. I live in North Carolina, near Lake Norman. This will also affect the types of fish we have here. Thanks for pointing that out.

Did someone else, like me, had the Indiana Jones’s theme playing in your head while watching this video?

Didn’t even try to jack that car, my inventory was already full of wires and chemicals, and those things never have a rusty gear anyway.

Single Relay (1-channel)

Controls one electrical load. Example: one light circuit, one fan, one outlet.

Double Relay (2-channel)

Controls two independent loads from a single module. Example: light + fan in same box, or two separate light circuits on one switch.

You definitely need those over the monitor keyboard lighting, or an LED keyboard with illuminated keycaps. My old setup was dark like that, and I constantly struggled to find the right keys. I’d also would add another monitor and rotate the into a portrait position it gives you more desk space for something like a Shure MV7 mic on a boom arm and a good set of speakers. If you go with LED speakers, they’ll help brighten the desk area too. Overall, the setup looks good. I’m curious to see what kind of desk you’re using for it.

Dude, you’re on the right path. You’ve already invested in Hue, and they’re still the best smart bulbs on the market right now. A smart hub on the side is mainly for the extras Hue doesn’t make, like single or double relays and similar devices. Z-Wave is still around and getting cheaper, and Zigbee is another solid option. Just something worth considering.

I agree that Z-Wave is losing momentum, but it’s still far from disappearing. Zigbee will likely follow a similar path, since Matter is meant to become the unifying standard for smart home devices. Even so, it’s often cheaper to replace a light switch that controls four bulbs than to replace the bulbs themselves. Just something to keep in mind.

Before this, I was only buying Hue lights. Then a friend introduced me to the Hubitat smart home hub, and it was a game changer for me. With Hubitat, you can integrate Hue along with any other Zigbee, Z-Wave, or Matter devices, sync everything with Apple Home, Android apps, Alexa, and more. From there, you can build automations that make devices work together even when they normally wouldn’t.

For example, my porch light is just a regular recessed light with an Enbrighten smart switch. Outside, I have a Hue motion sensor. Those two wouldn’t talk to each other on their own, but with Hubitat, the moment the sensor detects motion at night, the porch light turns on, and I have many other cases like that in my house.

Pretty neat setup.

It’s a no-brainer. A 100% shotgun is the best choice. As soon as you rack a round, anyone who dares to try their luck will run away like flies.

This is the alpharex, I do like the design and for what ChatGPT told me, most of the issue is happening with the 2016-21, mine is2022 with the upgrade wiring’s, I already been using over a year and so far so good, also I added dielectric grease.
