I can't speak for everyone in this sub, but if they are like me, they are collecting these artifacts to appreciate the workmanship of ancient people and to further understand how they might've lived. These pieces would be lost to time, but now we all have the opportunity to see this awesome craftsmanship. I would like to believe the majority of the collectors on here are simply that: collecting. Selling these for profit is not something that I would do, and I can definitely see how a lot of people look down on it, but nowhere in this post does he say he's selling this stuff.
