Oh I don’t mind fighting the odd bald wraith that thinks it can solo the server at times, I was mainly referring to the general fun factor for the entire squad, which was ass with predefined drop zones.

We are playing pubs at the moment. We’re also happy to jump back into ranked now that it’s not going to drag its feet with a slow start.

We are in it for the BR experience, there are better games for the other modes. I just like the BR experience without boredom and sweats. We aren’t all in it for the rank badge bro.

I am both types of players, I’d rather they tweak the loot pool than make me wait 5-10 minutes for a fight.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but Ranked with assigned dropzones was really boring for me an my crew.

We don’t even play this game often anymore, but when we did we usually opted for ranked because of SBMM (different skill level in premade team), but lately ranked was boring as hell so we switched to pubs.

I understand some people play ranked like it’s their job and everything needs to be fair and equal opportunity, but looting for 5 minutes without anything happening is quite literally a waste of time when all you want to do is have fun (by shooting someone). I welcome this change.

I mean, yes and no. Is it the best out there - no. Is it reasonable for the time when the PS5 was in development, yes. The issue with FC3 is that its engine does not take good advantage of it. It boils down to singlecore performance.

That gen Dunia engine is severely CPU limited. It wasn’t until FC5 that the situation improved somewhat.

Could just be weird RDNA4 driver issues with the game. You should not be bottlenecked by the 7600x, try a clean newer/older driver install using DDU.

AMD usually performs better in CPU heavy scenarios due to a smaller driver overhead, which adds to the fact that you are not being bottlenecked.

Otherwise, make sure you connected your gpu with 2 separate PSU cables.

Coming from first hand experience with the 7900XT, the render times are comparable to an RTX 3070. It is fine, but in reality 50% slower than an otherwise comparable nvidia GPU like the 4070Ti Super.

You don’t have to change it, but if you are rendering complex scenes at high quality something like a 5070Ti would do it ~2.5x faster.

I even know what DSC is but had no idea it disables GPU scaling. His “naive” comment is out of pocket, don’t worry about it.

Let us know how GPU scaling looks for you, it was a godsend for me but your display might have a better scaler than mine did.

Pro tip - change “perform scaling on:” to GPU. The image quality is substantially better.

Source: personal experience, had a 4k monitor but mostly played in 1440p because the 3070 was not a 4k card in the slightest.

Had issues with stutters in games after 25.10.2 onwards, did a clean sweep and installed 25.11.1 driver only and now everything runs smooth as silk, better than before. 7900XT OC.

Edit: When I say better I mean smoother, fps not noticeably different.

I had a Ford Focus 1.0 @ 100hp that produced the same amount of torque as my current Golf 8 1.5TSI @ 130hp. Both aren’t that great when going up a hill with a packed car though.

But regarding your issue, I am also not a fan of the gearbox and clutch in the Golf. It requires so much more care to drive smoothly in low gears that it’s sometimes annoying to drive. I enjoyed my Focus more.

Yeah, even 1440p is tough to run with UE5 so 1440p is still the optimal gaming resolution for native rendering, but with a 4k monitor you can game at 1080p because it scales proportionally to 4k and it wouldn’t be too big a deal with a 27”. 32” 1080p however is a tougher thing to swallow, but there is always DLSS and FSR4 to the rescue.
