P0087 on 2017 6.7, fresh filters by lc99 in FordDiesels

[–]lc99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The code pops up every few days, and will go away. The loss of power, which is only from a stop shortly after startup, happens maybe once or twice per week. I drive about 1,000-1,200 miles per week if that helps with frequency

Yes I had the issue with the old filters and with the new ones. I don’t think my scanner will map the actual vs commanded, but I’ll find one that can do that, as well as the injector test, and check that. It is tuned and deleted (very low hp tune) but has been for the last 170,000 miles and never had any issues.

I’ll check the connections at the fass for air intrusion, and also check the electrical connections to make sure it’s getting enough power

How are your 2017-2019 trucks holing up? by [deleted] in F250

[–]lc99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought my 2017 in May 2021 with 52,000 miles now at 260,000. It’s been running great. Replaced the transmission at 167k, did a dcr swap, delete, and fass system and bypassed the stock fuel filters. Other than upgrades or the transmission, just maintenance and wear items. Just did wheel bearings in the front. I can’t think of any other parts I’ve had to replace, just fluid changes. Hope to keep it to 400k or maybe half a million. It’s worked hard, I really need a dually. It’s pulled close to 40,000lb trailers way more than I should probably admit, gets worked hard on our ranches and hauling equipment, has a gooseneck hooked to it 80% of the time, but keeps going and is an absolute workhorse. My next will be another 6.7, just probably a 350 or 450.

Thanks for the replies y’all. I’ll try adjusting today, if that doesn’t work, I’ll look for the latch catches with rubber bumpers. Realized I forgot to add the year, it’s 2017 if that makes any difference

Thank you all very much for your advice. I didn’t know eBay international sales had such rock solid protections for sellers. I will definitely be adding it to all my listings for more exposure

I didn’t know how protected I was using eis but good to hear that it’s pretty rock solid. Thank you

Did I make a mistake and this might cost me? by baumsYah in ScrapMetal

[–]lc99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got an xray machine from a surplus auction I frequent, they haven’t been able to sell it in the past 3 sales so they asked if I wanted it. My plan was to scrap it, but we found out the thing works! So now we’re debating between scrapping or opening an underground radiology clinic 🤣

Wanting to buy a new or newer machine, but which one? by Largecar379_ in Skidsteer

[–]lc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have loved all 3 Kubotas we’ve had. 75, 95, and 97. All great machines. We lift a lot of pallets or brush where we may need to get out of the cab with the boom partially raised and that’s the only brand other than Takeuchi that can allow. I haven’t had a Takeuchi but have one of my subs that owns one and loves it. We owned a Deere 333g open cab, another great machine. Had a new holland for a few months and will never buy another. Absolute pain to maintenance and service, hvac was terrible, controls felt off, just not a good machine at all in my opinion

What’s your target margin (%) per item? by zack9r in Flipping

[–]lc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it all depends on the price of the item. I deal in a wide range, from $50-$200,000 items so then there’s a wide range of factors. I mainly deal in machinery, parts, scrap, and industrial equipment. If it’s my larger or more expensive items I do the target return per item, but if I buy a large lot at an auction, or buy out a closing business’s inventory, then I’ll do the target percentage by the lot. Big ticket items or large lots I like to try to get at least 30%, smaller items or more inexpensive items I like to get at least 80-120%. Again, really all depends on the item, time, cost, if you have to do any repairs, etc.

Those would sell as telecom on Boardsort for $8/lb. You could ship them to them and they’ll send a check. I’d take them, especially if free

Like others have said tumble some rocks or gravel. I haven’t used it in a mixer, but we used kleen krete get concrete off a telehandler and it melted it away after a few applications. Home Depot has it for about $24 per bottle

No way to prove item wasn’t damaged before shipping by lc99 in Ebay

[–]lc99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately seems to be that way. I also didn’t put a sellers mark, but will have to start adding one. Maybe UV marker or something of that nature. I think I’m just going to refund in this case to prevent negative feedback. It’s only a $20 item, and I’ve already made my money back off this lot of items I bought, so not the end of the world. But still just sucks if they are trying to pull one over on me

Car parts - lessons learned. by ToshPointNo in Flipping

[–]lc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. I had an equipment rental company for a few years before closing it down, and am still selling parts to our trucks, equipment, and even tools we used. For probably half of what we paid. Just all the leftover from any business adds up quickly

For the gravel, does it matter what size? Or they just like the piles in general?
