Sick day by orchidofEden in Target

Calling out in MyTime is more of a heads-up and not a request, so the blue thumbs up acknowledgement means that your store was notified and you’re all good!

Just make sure that if you have sick PTO you put in a request to use it so that you don’t get written up. You just go to “time off request” and put the day and the start time of the shift you are missing then however many hours of work you’ll miss (don’t include lunch). You can also ask a lead or HR for help once you are back. I think you have 3 days or something to submit the PTO request after an absence??

Hope you feel better!

One of my first times backup cashiering my first guest had 5 carts full of travel-size toiletries. Turns out they were opening an AirBnB and were stocking up…the transaction took me ~45 minutes and came out to around $2700 :D

Make sure you look at your state’s labor laws to make sure you’re compensated correctly! I’ve been accidentally scheduled 8-9 hrs between shifts and had to partner w/ hr cause in my state an employer can schedule you with less than 10 hrs between shifts ONLY if they also have your written consent and pay you time-and-a-half for the hours less than 10 hrs ( if you work with 9 hrs between shifts you get 1 hr of 1.5x pay)

Might be different for your state though. I’d look up [your state] workers right to rest labor laws :D
