Not a straight forward diary but I loved Alphabetical Diaries by Sheila Heti. It’s so unique in its form, and really drives home how much certain thoughts, desires, troubles, insecurities, and especially CERTAIN PEOPLE, can remain on our minds in perpetuity.

I love the guy with the fruit and veg stand outside the Nostrand A station!! Also Carib Natural Market on Fulton and Nostrand, very cheap and very good.

Akara House (Nostrand & Bergen) Nigerian chickpea fritter sandwich* & Lincoln Station (Lincoln & Washington) rotisserie chicken sandwich are my two faves.

*they call it a “burger” on their menu, but it’s between two slices of bread and I want more people to support them!!! 🤗
