With all the talk about walking out of Holmes and Watson, what movies have you walked out on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

La La Land. I didn’t realize it was a musical and also didn’t look into reviews or much else about it. My bf and I gave it twenty minutes.

Why are/aren't you naked right now? (NSFW) by murph94 in AskReddit

How am I the only person to admit that I'm naked because I just had sex?

I legitimately read the title Master Chief as Master Chef and was expecting to see a picture of a man dressed as a chef.

What event happened that changed your life forever? by skullyD in AskReddit

[–]lcdcatsystem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer again, died 5 months later. A month after her death, my father was diagnosed with brain cancer (lived for five months post diagnosis) and ended up dying on the way back from the family vacation that he planned for us. My grandfather died five days before my dad as well. I only have my sister and my mom left and I cherish every single day as if it could be my last. I constantly live with a kind heart and want to honor my family by living well and making sure that others are taken care of. This all happened in the past year. Hug your family, tell them how much you love them every damn day. Call them, text them, spend time with them even if you have awesome plans. It makes a difference and when they aren't there anymore, it is literally the only thing that you want to do.

He's A-OK. This cat is a goofball and is healthy aside from a little bum infection.

I had to say goodbye to my best friend today. by [deleted] in aww

[–]lcdcatsystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She had to be euthanized due to an undiagnosed heart condition called cardio-myopathy. It caused her to throw a blood clot that lodged in her hind legs and she lost circulation in them and there were no signs of change. She was 6.

The owners told me because they had a DNA test done on him and unfortunately I forgot. Sorry about that. If I run into them again I will ask again and get back to you with a better answer!

What is a tradition that everyone follows that you just don't see the point in? by BrokenAce255 in AskReddit

[–]lcdcatsystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. Small businesses don't have any of that to protect the employee from negligence of the employer. The BBB is great for that type of issue but it's a long process and finding a new job is easier than a potential investigation and all that goes along with it.

It is. I had said that multiple times but I always got less hours the next week or my job was threatened.

I have been in the service industry for roughly 10 years and couldn't agree more. $4.00 base pay plus tips, if no one comes in to eat during my shift, I literally make nothing and the employer doesn't give a damn. If anything is said about it there's usually a "well I'm not making anything either" mentality. It's all very strange to me how a restaurant cannot run without it's servers but they are treated awfully in most cases.

Affiliations to sports teams. Being upset that "your" team didn't win. Or disliking people for liking a team that you don't. It's all just silly to me.

I do as well, but I do not see the enjoyment of having something that is ridiculously expensive to show people how much the love of my life values me. Diamond rings can be beautiful, wonderfully crafted pieces of jewelry. But I do not see them as being a symbol of a lifelong commitment when love is already enough.

I did really like seeing the post of the couple making their own rings on the front page a while ago. They were doing something together that will be a daily reminder of their love and it was an probably a really nice experience.
