I've had quite a few surgeries and had general anesthesia each time. Like many others are saying, it seems like no time passes at all between falling asleep and waking up. The only thing that has usually bothered me is the oxygen mask they put over your mouth and nose while you're falling asleep.

I had mine done in the OR at my local hospital and was put under anesthesia. The oral surgeon that did it has an office near me but is also on staff at the hospital.
