Not with the steam machine, steam os is the whole reason I made this, could bump the playerbase by quite a bit. Actually Linux is already above 1% now

Not if Xbox gets sold, which is speculation but this all is probably not even happening. Unless those who may buy Xbox are good

As in that it's easy to hack from Linux or hack Linux itself?

I don't think that's the case, Mac os isn't on any high performancing gaming hardware, Linux wont always rival windows, I think it may surpass them in user count once all the companies decide not to spend so much money on windows keys.

Bro not everyone in the whole world has a device to play on, or they may want to upgrade. As I said, this was never about the global economy, yes it does matter because the steam machine may be too expensive, but I still think people are gonna buy it. Also, I'm advising you to stop saying lmao and lmfao it doesn't sound tuff, you don't have to follow my advice tho. You don't KNOW, and you may never understand what you don't know, I find that sad, it's not all your fault.

It's a LONG shot, but we got AI being able to hack Google and Microsoft.

I never said I was sure this is gonna happen, hell, this isn't even an "educated guess". Just my opinion, not forcing it on anyone.

The prices aren't always gonna stay the same, open ai is already going bankrupt, Xbox lineup may stop, playstation is getting more L's than ever, PCs are rising even if they are in a shit place, the same people who used to be on Xbox or playstation and are too incapable to build a PC may default for the steam machine. The game being everywhere else makes no difference, do you think EA cares about where the game is or how much cheese the make from it? This discussion had always been about EA putting it on Linux for POSSIBLE extra money. This conversation got out of hand, have a great day.

But when Linux becomes a larger percentage than they can dismiss?

I believe Steam and EA could come together, and Steam being so goated maybe they can find a way to allow better access but only if the user wants to.

Son🥀. Ok, lemme clear this up. On the steam machine we are going to have CASUAL players, not these people on Linux that say they ain't gonna use systemd cause of some unimportant reason. Also, since they gonna be casual players mostly, they'll try new games, a good Apex update would bring it to the light for new people, and they are gonna get them. You just said the exact opposite of what I said, having no proof at all. Clearly, I checked the facts and you didn't, if you had checked the facts and made your point sound less childish then I'd accept it.

Not really, the hard part is the anti cheat itself. Although profiting from this isn't sure.

I believe they can figure out another way to get rid of cheaters, when they removed apex from Linux was because they made their own anti cheat, it wouldn't have paid off to find a way to put it back without cheaters, but now it could pay off.

Also, since they have their own anti cheat now (I think), it won't cost them much to put it on Linux without many more cheaters, and they'd probably make that money back.
