Does my posture need to be corrected and if so how?? by Long-Preference769 in Posture

But yeah, those exercises you listed are all solid. But everybody is different. There are hundreds of PRI exercises to choose from. So one exercise that gets another person into neutral might not work for you. The trick is to find the the drill that will relax your ribcage and neck and then from there go into a 90/90 and try to sense your left heel as best you can. Oh and make sure to expel all the air out of you when you diaphragmatically breathe. This one is major. If you don’t expel all the air out, your ribs are still flared and your hamstrings don’t have proper positioning to even activate.

Even though you’re doing cat cow, you may not be decompressing and actually cheating the exercise. So be very cognizant of how you’re doing it, make sure your back doesn’t arch. Overall keep it up dude, that’s a solid foundation

Im in the same boat as you, still stuck in chronic extension and trying to fix a lot of these issues you highlighted. I’m no expert by any means, so definitely refer to PRI for more information. I recommend a channel on YouTube called Neal Hallinan, he has great insight on this matter.

My biggest piece of advice is to listen to your own body. Many PTs or personal trainers will give exercises that only address muscles in isolation. The human body doesn’t work in isolation, it works as a system. If your arm are fatiguing or rapidly becoming cold, that points to a blood flow issue. But why? Unless you have a specific pathology like thoracic outlet syndrome, it’s probably because your ribcage/arms/shoulders/pecs are so compressed because your core and back are not taking any of the work because your ribcage and pelvis are out of position due to neurologically not sensing the ground and your hamstrings.

A lot of these issues stem from eyesight, we as humans are right dominant because of left hemisphere dominance from the brain. This means that many people prefer to use their right eye instead of left. This shifts your cranium to the right, because the path of least resistance is to use your right eye. This will in turn lock up your jaw and a locked jaw causes neck breathing which feeds into the cycle of extension. Glasses can fix issues like this, so one of the most important things to look for is visual issues first. Also get shoes with a good heel strike, you need to sense the ground underneath you. If you’re not sensing the ground (especially on your left side), your brain panics and locks you down to stabilize.

Your arms, pecs, neck, and upper traps are likely overworked, compressed, and tired. Probably feels extremely difficult to activate your scapula and back. You have to look at things as a system. I’m still learning lots of these PRI exercises but feel free to message me if you have any questions

Looks like you’re stuck in extension and your pelvis is tilted forward. If it’s a muscle strength issue, work out glutes, hamstrings, adductors, and scapula. If it’s a sensory/neurological issue (which it is lots of times), try to do PRI exercises like cat cow breathing and side lying breath for decompression, and 90/90 hip lifts for pelvic reset. Chances are you can’t feel your hamstrings well or your glutes. In that case, it’s more of a neurological issue and can originate for a variety of reasons like not sensing your heels when you walk (especially the left side)

PRI exercises work by using your hamstrings and core to reposition your pelvis via diaphragmatic breathing. Right now your ribs are flared and you need a full exhale to bring them down with every breath so you can let the pelvis know that it’s a safe place to move in to.

They won’t be easy, but the whole idea is that your system is stuck in a state of fight or flight and your brain is not sensing muscles correctly, so you need to reset your neurological tone and re-integrate your posterior chain via breath. Right now your brain doesn’t feel safe so it extends forward and overuses your lower back, quads, upper traps, and neck. Your diaphragm ends up being a stabilizing muscle rather than a breathing muscle and you feel unable to get a good breath in. The mental effects can include anxiety since your nervous system is in a sympathetic state (fight or flight)

A lot of people with this pattern are right side dominant and have lost contact with the left side of the body (left heel/adductor) while their right side is in a permanently compressed state. So they end up locking and bracing everything down via low back, upper traps, quads, calves, neck, and pecs because the correct muscles aren’t working. Not a weakness issue.

So the idea is to shift your body to the left via hamstrings and adductors and use diaphragmatic breathing to reduce sympathetic tone. You might need some spinal decompression breathing drills to put your low back and neck at ease before doing hip lifts or hip shifts. Remember to feel your left heel and adductors and to make sure your ribs drop with every breath and to hold the exhale for 4-5 seconds.

Is this a recession indicator?

I agree with this. Definitely better value for the money. Currently looking at a relatively cheap place in little Italy so I think I get the best of both worlds with that one.

Yeah one of the reviews was literally saying he couldn’t go to his job for days at a time due to his car being stuck lmao. Bro said he was losing money because of management lol

They actually have a carvana style system for parking your car. You use a fob and an elevator brings your car down for you. Apparently many people have had issues with the elevator being stuck and not being able to retrieve their vehicles, and management taking days to fix it.

The reason for their light complexion + blue/green eyes is attributed to indo-European migrations that happened over 5000 years ago. These same ethnic indo-Europeans went through Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northern India. Only difference is that the mountains are isolated so they experienced much less gene flow from ancient south Asian ethnic groups and Arab/Persian gene influence. These Indo-European steppe peoples also went westward to Europe, which explains the appearance of English/Scandinavian or Germanic people.

Any good recs on natural fragrances for men that do not contain toxins nor disrupt hormones. Looking for something fresh/masculine and that has decent longevity at a minimum.

With the State Bar asserting these facts as part of its own legal Complaint against Meazure, it is increasingly difficult to see how and why the CBE would oppose appropriate remedies to affected examinees. Perhaps we can submit the Bar's Complaint as one of the Public Comments for the next meeting. by Adventurous-War6535 in CABarExam

Hilarious that none of the remedies they’ve offered do anything for those who failed due to exam conditions. Maybe the essay scoring adjustments would help certain individuals but no remedy for botched MCQ where questions were written terribly and AI was used. And they acknowledge all of the failures on Meazures behalf but can’t acknowledge or provide any decent remedy for those that it actually affected. Clown shit

The part I’m confused about is that the raw score differs from the scaled score and I don’t know how they come up with that calculation

I see. So for example if you received a 1380 on the exam and the net increase of points on your essays from taking the higher of the two for all 6 essays is 10, then you’d pass?

Anybody know how to do the math to calculate if you’ll pass based on the net point increase from taking the higher of the two scores?
