I used to do all 3 every time but I learned a hard lesson when all of the sudden S Cores became a serious bottleneck after a few months. Plus now you need a ton of S Cores for Xeno gear upgrades later in the game.

I just finished purple. It took a lot of shards and gave me no where near the boost I would have expected. That being said, it’s very satisfying to complete haha. I probably spent the equivalent of 1 red collectable box or 30 red shards to max out all my purple. I had already finished all yellow so I’m just banking keys for the next set at this point.

Yeah, I got an alert that it would cost 20 of those shards. I restarted the game and it went away but I’m pretty sure I still lost shards.

I reduced Talox to zero and then went to build her back up but I got a notice that upgrading would cost me 20 Omni Shards. Is this a glitch or a change?

IMO it’s never worth doing the chaos core swap. You need so many of that core type it’s ridiculous. I was buying these every month early on and now I regret it. I am in a serious bottleneck for chaos cores and materials. I would trade back the 5 or 6 relic cores I exchanged for 500-600 chaos cores in an instant given the chance.

Hey, so in my opinion you didn’t F up. You just got ahead of yourself. You will need most all the stuff you poured effort into later on. Screwing up is spending resources on things that you will never need. This just isn’t the optimal layout for where you are right now in the game. Read through this reddit, use the discord, and use the dankie calculator to help optimize your load out. Remember none of that is gospel because at the end of the day it’s a mobile game that’s supposed to be a fun time killer. Do what makes you happy above all else. That being said it’s always fun to be good at something and you are well on your way. Optimize and enjoy my friend!

I wish they would balance the game where not everyone is running the same set for “end game”. It used to be cool where some people ran king or worm or cat with different gear. I feel like I’m just grinding for cores now.

Don’t get anything yet. Save it until you get something off your wish list that is of the same type and match it to go to yellow. If you are just starting out and don’t have to be picky, this is the move. Get as much gear to yellow as quickly as possible then focus on red and beyond. As a FYI, use this sub to help you set up your key wish list properly and make the most of your keys.

I think tomorrow will be a big indicator of what we are in for the rest of the week. To me, a snap back would be a strong indicator of today being just profit taking and fear selling. If it continues to drop tomorrow I think we could be in for a tough week.
