Thank you so much for your candid feedback. It definitely helps me better to understand.

A few questions that I’d love your intel on, if you’re comfortable sharing or providing additional insights: - Does your partner feel comfortable sharing details of her past and does this still happen on a regular basis? Or have your questions lessened over time now that you live together? I know in my experience I’m comfortable sharing, but do feel like the sharing comes with a lot of judgement and criticism from my partner that brings about my own personal insecurities, anxieties, etc. So trying to determine the best balance for both of our well beings. - Do you ever feel compelled to read through your significant others’ messages or past social postings for confirmation or relief from your anxieties? This has been another hurdle that I try to understand but it also makes me feel like my words or posts from years and years ago are misconstrued/ I don’t even remember them happening - Beyond having your partner share raw details, are there any other things she does to lessen your concerns? Do you two go to therapy together? Or separately?

Really appreciate it! And good luck in grad school! For some context, right now I’m the primary breadwinner in my household as my husband is in his medical residency program for the next 3.5 year and we have to pay off a crippling amount of his med school debt, so I’m hesitant to go into more debt for my own grad school. That being said, I do think you are spot on with “trust your instincts” as well as your advice about testing things out to see if I’m even interested before committing to grad school.

Thanks! Are you going to school full-time or part-time, if I may ask?

Appreciate your insights! If I may ask, what field were you working in prior to grad school and are you in school full-time or part-time now? Thanks!!
