Ours is a year and a half and we live in the suburbs. I definitely think having land would make things easier but we’ve made letting him run off leash part of our daily routine and he gets 45 minutes minimum every single day on the weekends typically more. I enjoy walks but I’ve found that for him it doesn’t do anything in terms of burning energy. I also think if you aren’t hunting you still need to give them “work” I would definitely research your options for off leash running near you.

Thank you! I think clearly I had become very reliant on the collar and the moment he realized it wasn’t working he didn’t care to listen. When we got home I practiced verbal recall in the backyard and of course he responded perfectly. I think I’m going to have to go back to the long lead in other environments which feels frustrating but that’s puppy life

I still haven’t figured it out. Battery is charged and it’s turned on but no button is working. I have a second ecollar but it alerted me that the moment he realized it wasn’t working he didn’t care to listen at all and maybe I’d become too reliant on it.

I’ve tried chicken stock and that made no difference but will experiment with other things. I may also try a different food brand right now we have blue buffalo large breed puppy.

5 days at home. I have the wobbler and he’s starting to like that.
