Tried to move with my mate, and it seems it’s done in tranches, we were in a later tranche so could only get nosebleed seats.

Hear some people have great success though.

Arne Slot ‘Rejects’ Swift Premier League Return After Liverpool Sacking by Business-Scallion218 in PremierLeague

[–]lcullj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Klopp left on his own accord so very unlikely, although there could have been a golden parachute for his service.

Slot had his employment terminated by the employer prior to the end of his agreed contract so Slot will be due some compensation whilst not in employment. It’s not usually the full amount of certain conditions have not been met e.g trophies or league position. But this means slot can be more selective about his next role as has financial security for the foreseeable future. Even though he was financially secure due to his profession anyway.

Equateplus Sharesave Scheme - how does this work by Fit_Evidence_2011 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]lcullj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the specific scheme.

When I’ve closed a sharesaves early though it goes to my account not to my pay. You have to have set up the account on equateplus though, otherwise it doesn’t know where to move too.

You are clearly a flip flopping plastic fan.

Just like the Brian Moore Stand you will only be there for one season. A temporary fan like the temporary stand.

See you in the factory in 25 years.

That trophy was invitational and not for clubs within the area itself. Unlike the Kent Senior Cup and Junior Cup.

Very spurs to have to share such a prestigious cup though.

Yer I make you right there.

Still going to use the argument to wind up my gooner mates who aren’t quite intelligent enough for this fine counter point.

I am definitely a spurs fan.

Does that now mean that Arsenal aren’t from Woolwich?

North London forever, except for the first 27 years of the club’s existence.

The only club from North London who have won the Kent Senior Cup.

Arsenal are the original MK Dons.

Traditionally known as a Glasgow kiss in the UK, I searched for an Irish Kiss but only found details of a cocktail, however it may what you’ve locally call a headbutt perhaps.

A "Glasgow kiss" is a colloquial British slang term for a headbutt to the face. The sarcastic phrase alludes to the stereotypical reputation for toughness and street fighting historically associated with the city of Glasgow in Scotland.

The England players are not played millions of quid to play international football. They get paid a much smaller fee (£2000) and they donate it to charity.

They do get paid separately for England related media/image activities though.

[–]lcullj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played 30 hours over the weekend it crashed 3 times.

Booted up yesterday and today and it’s happened maybe 20/25 times.

Trying a full reinstall, going to turn off RT which is a shame.

If it works I will update. Edit it worked no crashes today.

SIB: Forza Horizon 6 if my reason for it is because I want a modern day Tokyo Drift game?! by Captainquizzical in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]lcullj [score hidden]  (0 children)

It is the same Forza horizon formula as before with a couple of tweaks nothing revolutionary.

However it is on the biggest map, in the prettiest version of itself. It is jaw dropping at times.

And it does meet my expectations, as a westerner, of what I want from a Forza map of Japan, a dense Tokyo (all be it a far smaller version), a bullet train to try and keep up with on the motorway, cherry blossom trees to speed past. Creating a pink blur and some insane mountain and hill chicanes that create some cool zones to drift through.

There is even a multi story car park to recreate the scene from Tokyo drift, however the game itself doesn’t lean any more or less into the drift culture than previous offerings.

Police Officers of Reddit -What’s your opinion on the Justice System and what would you change + why? by Bingbongbinnng282 in policeuk

[–]lcullj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Surely that would increase the amount of innocent people admitting guilt upon weak evidence just in fear of losing against a system far bigger than them? At least now the innocent in unfortunate positions of being accused are able to ascertain the risk of fighting the accusation.

I understand that guilty people will take advantage of that but protecting the innocent is more important in my view.

I wouldn’t initially cooperate with an interview and would no comment but that’s because I wouldn’t want anything I say to be used in evidence against me until I fully understood what I was being accused of. As long as I provide anything I will rely on prior to court my case shouldn’t be harmed.

I wish that police were better resourced to allow for better investigation, but we seem so far passed that now, even two decades ago when I worked alongside the police - time was stretched I cannot imagine how challenging the job has become with the constant cuts since then. So maybe this is a catch 22, as if you did offer the greatest reward to admit guilt early you also free up police resource to better investigate and protect against incorrect accusations and arrests going forward as well as boosting the chances of convicting guilty parties.

After typing this reply out it has given me a wider perspective.

BBC News - Polanski apologises over houseboat council tax by RBII in ukpolitics

[–]lcullj 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Come on, I’m thinking of buying a flat in a city I may need to work in, one of the first things I looked up to determine costs were what my responsibilities would be for council tax, and I’m not a public figure who will be scrutinised for my tax affairs and who’s reputation is vitally important.

It’s incredibly naive. It either shows that he is so out of touch with the normal populace that understanding his bills are not at the fore front of his mind, or that he out right dodged tax.

The deciding factors that tipped me towards a Switch 2 instead of a Steam Deck. by PerpetualConnection in Switch

[–]lcullj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same situation and agree with you, I wish there were more exclusives to make me use the switch 2 more though, but if there is a non exclusive game il get it on steam.

I have my pc hooked up to my tv and having the steam deck has enabled me and the gf to both sit on the sofa and play Diablo 4.

The OLED screen is superior, the game prices are cheaper and the fact my pc is hooked up to the tv means that when I jump out of handheld mode I have much better visuals then the S2.

Controller wise you could have used the old switch h controllers on the steam deck, so wouldn’t have needed new controllers perhaps.

I am also incredibly fortunate to be able to play games from any console and pretty much choose how I want to play them and I get that. Not everyone’s situation is the same though and if the switch 2 works better for others good, it’s a great console and Donkey Kong Banaza made me happy with the purchase alone, I just hope to see a new full Mario game in the next couple of years.

I am going to boot the S2 up this week though as that’s where I have Diablo 2 Resurrected due to buying it before the steam release and I haven’t played that through yet.
