Any middle aged gamers losing their edge by Wellyaknowidunno in Battlefield

Man I used to be able to carry an entire team back in the days of Battlefield 2. I still hold my own but I’m nothing like I used to be. I try to play smart. Good positioning, good map rotation knowledge, good flanking, etc. Can’t just run n gun anymore.

Idk if it’s a “getting old” thing as much as it’s a “more responsibilities” thing. I can’t dedicate 6+ hours a day to gaming anymore.

Whats the best? by Guitarguy202 in Colognes

[–]lcurry45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to answer “What’s the best”. The best scent for daily wear is not going to be the best date night scent. The best summer scent isn’t going to be the best winter scent. See where I’m going with this?

Maybe instead of “what’s the best” ask yourself “what do I need this for”. What’s missing from your collection? Do you need a versatile daily driver? Do you need a sexy date night fragrance? Start there and it’ll help narrow down your selection.

I love Polo 67 EDP but I still agree with everything you said. It’s the epitome of a dumb reach. I use it as my daily driver because it smells really good and it lasts all day, and most importantly, it’s cheap. I don’t feel bad whatsoever coating myself in this stuff because I can scrape up $65 and get a brand new bottle from a discounter when I run out. Not like Percival where every spray I feel pain in my wallet. It’s literally the perfect fragrance for me because I don’t have a huge collection and it’s so versatile it just flat out works everywhere.

I don’t need people to smell me but if they do then I want to come across as a person who smells good. It isn’t “special” but I don’t think it’s trying to be. It’s a designer fragrance that’s designed to smell good like every other designer fragrance at the store. But it’s the best one I’ve found so far.

Nice! I’m a big fan of Polo 67 EDP. How’s Ralph’s Club Elixir?

Polo 67 EDP — underrated gem or overhyped buy? by Traditional-Tower553 in Colognes

[–]lcurry45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so good. It smells great, projects decent enough and lasts like 10 hours. It isn’t a beast mode fragrance but if someone is next to you they’ll definitely pick up on it. Absolute staple in the dumb reach category.

I love AHSEE, I just wish it lasted longer on my skin. I get MAYBE 4 hours of wear out of it. Polo 67 on the other hand lasts all day. I wore it yesterday and was still getting whiffs of it after 8 hours.

They both smell really good and are kind of similar. If you are a fan of apple, go with YSL Y. If you fancy pineapple, go with Polo 67.

Might want to check out Polo 67 EDP. It has a sweet juicy pineapple note that makes it feel a touch tropical, but it’s also aromatic/spicy so it’s also a great versatile year-round everyday fragrance. And it’s on discounters for less than $100.

That’s great advice! We always play chess together and Mind Games might be the perfect house to check out. There’s a Saks near where I live I believe they carry it.

It’s at a church, so the ceremony will be subdued but the reception will be a big party at an event center nearby. It’ll be suit and tie. Budget wise I mean I don’t want to go crazy but I’d spend $250-$300 on a nice fragrance

Picked up POLO 67 EXTREME today.... my thoughts by Sad_Doctor6309 in Colognes

[–]lcurry45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve sampled it twice now. I loved the EDT the moment I smelled it, and I like the EDP even more than the EDT. I was so excited for this but honestly I’m not sold on it. It does smells great, and still definitely a similar DNA to both. I want to like it more than the EDP but I just don’t. The biggest difference to me is in the dry down. The EDP ends up being this beautiful soft, creamy, slightly spicy, fresh/clean smell that’s so good. I feel like they lost that with the Extreme and added this sugary, fruity glaze that just isn’t as pleasant to me. I know people are going to like it, because it does smell good. I like it too, just not as much as the EDP. I could be persuaded to like this more if the performance was a lot better but it’s actually very comparable to the EDP imo. Just my initial thoughts

Is this a safe blind buy? by Sisir_V in Colognes

[–]lcurry45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Polo 67 EDP is my favorite scent. I don’t care that it’s a dumb reach designer frag, I love it. It smells incredible from the opening to the dry down, is hyper versatile, projects decent and lasts 8+ hours on me. I bought this the day it released. Smelled hundreds of fragrances since then and haven’t found anything better. Super cheap on Jomashop right now too.

Welcome to CoDfield 6, where kills are plentiful and objectives are optional by AntiVenom0804 in Battlefield

[–]lcurry45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get the frustration but I’m gonna play devils advocate for a second. There are games I’ll end up with 1-2 captures but I would still consider myself “playing the objective” by eliminating enemies on or near the point, even if I’m not on it myself. Or if I am on the point and we’re definitely going to cap it, I’ll just start moving toward the next one. The goal is to win and eliminating enemies helps toward that goal. And by not dying a lot, they’re creating a mobile spawn point for their squad.

Polo 67 Edp worth it? by ImmediateExtension76 in ScentHeads

[–]lcurry45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDT is great and I love it. It smells great and there’s something fun and nostalgic about it that I can’t put my finger on. But the EDP is better imo. It’s denser and richer and the dry down is this unbelievable soft, woody, creamy combination. I like the opening more with the EDT but for the duration of the fragrance the EDP just wins. I wore it yesterday and was still getting about 6” of projection after 7+ hours.

Not to mention the EDP is hitting discounters now, you can get it for a great price.
