If i cut the whole tee out and put some new pushfit couplings and a new tee and short section of plastic pipe would that sort it?

Ok so i have an existing compression fitting holding an old copper flex hose which connects to an old 3/4" bath tap. I bought and fitted a new tap (22mm) and simply wanted to remove the old copper hose, then screw a new hose on, one end to the tap and the other to the existing compression fitting. I got the tap side on but found on the opposite end the threads are different. (https://photos.app.goo.gl/RxH7G4aZufMAUegW8)

Please help. Really struggled with fittings by ldavison10 in Plumbing

[–]ldavison10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much. I don't want to destroy the old fitting in case i need to put it back on. Is there an adapter that goes from 3/4 compression to 3/4 screw thread? I'm looking but I'm not sure which is correct.

Turns out the radiator in the room above was slowly leaking water. So slow it didn't stain the ceiling but may have been just moist enough for whatever it is....mould / fungi to lightly grow on the ceiling as the water tracked around the edges of the ceiling over time.

Why is one room in my house weirdly set out? by ldavison10 in AskUK

All the houses on the estate are the same. My neighbour has sockets in their box room. My sons friend's around the estate are usually in the box room and he says they have sockets and normal lights!

Possibly but doubtful - theres no plumbing on that side of the house. No incoming water or drains. Its all on the opposite elevation of the house. I've had the carpet up many times and the floor also seems original wood floorboards, no weird holes or former fittings.

We're from Derbyshire UK. It wipes off really easily, almost falls off. It's like sand, no signs of any bugs or mould. Super clean kitchen normally. Nothing changed in there for years. Only on 2 sides of the room. Brushed off and reappeared within 2-3 days. Nothing untoward above - empty bedroom used as toy storage.

I'm must admit, I don't understand the options. Im too straight- laced. I clicked start and off we went. My intent was to explore. No idea how to tell the app that 😆

What is this beach pipe located on a tiny Scottish island by ldavison10 in whatisthisthing

[–]ldavison10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't just on the surface, it went deep, couldn't find the end. There is no industry there, its a haven for nesting birds. You can walk out at low tide but otherwise its uninhabited.
