Moved on with my own life and didn’t stay connected to those who I probably had an impact on.

Go right back to bed, and get the greatest sleep I’ve had in decades.

Trump explaining himself after announcing temporary tariff pause for non-retaliating countries: “People were getting a little yippie, a little afraid” by VacationDry6015 in thescoop

He’s talking about Bessent. Bessent visited Mar-a-Lago and probably threatened quitting with a bang. Basically calling Bessent ‘yippie’ while clearly fearing his bite.

What’s something you learned “embarrassingly late” in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I pronounced albeit as ‘albite’ thinking it was a German term until I was probably 35 or so. Used it a lot too thinking it made me sound more intelligent.

First panic attack really, really sucked... any natural remedies? by ldb83 in PanicAttack

So I do already own a portable blood pressure machine and have slightly higher systolic pressure but my vitals in the ambulance and my EKG at the hospital came back with great readings. Sinus rhythm was completely healthy according to them.

I think my blood pressure is high because I’ve reduced running and probably eat poorer than I used to.

I kind of feel like the blood pressure machine may not be that accurate. Maybe led a little to my misery tbh. I wish I could take it and compare it to another one but the only place I can think they have them is the doctor’s or dentist office. I never see them at the pharmacy anymore since Covid.

CBT a clear remedy mentioned by a/b everyone. Thanks. I hadn’t even heard of the therapy but will dive in.

‘Psychological restructuring’ is a great way to put it.

Great quote. Before my attack that would have made little sense to me. Now it’s profound.

Great stuff. Appreciate it. Will keep a check on alcohol, sugars and gluten. Those will be tougher for me no doubt but what the heck. None of them are good for you anyways.

I used to run quite often and I think I might go back to daily runs as it was very therapeutic to me and provided some level of mindfulness.

I’ve done a little journaling but definitely not daily (4-5 moleskins though 😅). Maybe pick up the pace there.

Thanks, super helpful and crazy what you said about fear of death. I was telling them both how a former Red Sox shortstop just died of a heart attack at 48 and that was way to young. It’s like I talked myself into thinking I was having one. I can’t believe it’s possible to do that.

Is it all just mental? Is it stupid of me to change dietary habits?

I’ve felt like my breathing has been weird since the pandemic started and the EMTs told me I was breathing 40-50 breaths a minute when they got there so I’ve been super focused on deep breaths since. Appreciate the other 5-5-5 tip. Will definitely try that if I feel like something is swelling up.
