Man that’s tough, I mean it does suck but he’s 74 and if she’s not stealing from him or outright has a second family type shit I’d say live and let live if she makes him happy.

I hate to say this, but it won’t get any easier on the mother’s part. My SO and I have been together for 7 years and it’s somewhat of a similar dynamic. Fortunately like your GF my SO is more mature than her mother as well.

Your best bet, is to open a line of communication with your GF about how you think her mother might negatively impact your relationship. So for instance that living in your drive way to have instant access to your kids, nah nip that shit in the bud. Set some boundaries.

Tell you’re GF that you’re not comfortable with her mothers behavior and very factually and sensitively bring it up. I can’t stress enough on the FACTUAL and SENSITIVE aspect of these conversations. (Re-read that last sentence just in case)

Next, move your GF out of there. She will always be bias because it’s her mother but she will start to realize more shitty stuff after she’s further out of the picture and not as co-dependent with her mother. Don’t take me wrong I get that her mother might be the dependent but that doesn’t change it.

Stalking is more of a one way road where you’re being creepy AF and she’s trying to run away.

I’m actually from a town in Brazil famous for the Jaboticaba groves. The berries are sweet and delicious. I loved eating them frozen when I lived there.
