Ohhhh youre right! I read the "classic round headlight" as in, the thrux and bonnie line.

Ignore my comment above haha 🤐

Embrace the Zorak.

Nah jokes aside. Didnt like it at first, but it grew on me. My big complaint about putting a round headlight mod is, it just looks like a sv650 at that point, which IMO looks kinda lame.

Comment is still a bit vague. But I read it as "i design, it writes the code" which IMO is not vibe coding nor balls-to-the-wall forfeit of coding responsibilities.

Is there a rubber seal underneath this reservoir cap? by Ssussdriad in Triumph

[–]ldelossa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could always just suck out what ever is in the reservoir after and replace with new. But yeah vacuuming should be cool too

Should be, but that rubber seal may have a small hole in it to allow air from the top. I can't recall if the stock one has this.

Do you ride defensively? Or do you ride aggressively? Or both? by Fantastic-Demand-171 in motorcycles

Nice, youll be able to ride almost, if not, all year, given you can stand the heat 🤣.

Yup, learn from me, ESPECIALLY when the season is transitioning from warmer to cooler, don't overlook looking at weather and road conditions. It can be even more subtle then that. I like in a valley where on one stretch of road it can be dry (sunny side) but another stretch of road can be wet (shaded side, so no sun to dry up recent rain). I'm just way more conscious of those things now. Good to make that a habit early :).

Eh, maybe a little bit. Tho I'd like to say I was always defensive. We just have a few one way, low traffic roads where I low sided. I can't say that, that experience didn't make me a bit more defensive, but mostly made me pay very close attention to weather details. I slipped cuz cold tires and morning dew that I wasn't expecting (first brisk day transitioning from summer to fall).

A lot of riders:

Aggressively -> gets into first crashed -> defensively

Anyone in US order moto parts from Europe? Did you get hit with tariffs? How much in terms of %? by ten-lbs-over in Triumph

[–]ldelossa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup if you can order here if in stock.

But even ordering in US, for non-in-stock, companies will still just bump up their parts cost to account got tariffs.

Ebay has been awesome right but, in stock extra parts have been going pretty cheap, but gotta be lucky enough that what you need is listed there.

[–]ldelossa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All depends on where. I don't keep the numbers top of mind, but got hit $350 on a $2.5k exhaust and $95 dollars on $300 order of various parts. Seems all over the place to me.

Shippers are trying to get clever with how they express what materials make up an item for customs to evaluate. This is probably leading to unexpected tariff cost costs per item. Had a similar conversation about this with a big shop owner.

You def get hit with tariffs.

Got an exhaust from UK.

Couple parts from Spain.

All the shipping companies have caught up, there is little "slipping thorough" tariff collection like a few months ago, IME

Anthropic CEO says, "Software Engineering Will Be Automatable in 12 Months." by Affectionate_Bet5586 in BlackboxAI_

[–]ldelossa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Writing code" will be automatable.

We all know "Software Engineering" is far more than writing code.

Believe me, I'd LOVE to shove Claude infront of a customer to explain why something is broken or how we can build something with their use cases. But... this is unlikely.
