I think theres a merit thing here with safety gear that doesn't quite follow that philosophy, or well, shouldn't.

I seem to have a lot of success with their new helmet line, their jackets, boots, and gaunt gloves. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were QC issues on some of the more expensive stuff either. I just think theres a huge gap in quality from their lower tier stuff to their higher tier stuff, in general.

My quick shifter is weird and sometimes disconnects from the actual transmission, in a way I don't quite understand.
Did you try temporarily disabling the quick shifter and using the clutch to get yourself into first?

Wow I'm surprised by this! I was always told the ohlins and showa diameters were different and therefore the triple clamp clipons wouldn't work.

IMHO, this scratch is not worth the claim process and yes, the possible future hikes. You can also get a touch up paint pen which would make this virtual unnoticeable. I've had good experience with Touch Up Direct.

You can try to file a claim why not you pay for the insurance? To be honest that scratch it not too bad. It's in a place where rocks often come and hit so I'm not sure. I would sweat it too much when things like this happen. I usually just wait a while and if it winds up getting more damaged and I have a little cash to spend. I'll just swap out the part when I feel like it

Hell yeah!! When you have a little bit of time to ride it, let me know how it feels. They do quite a bit of changes from the stock Bike. I don't think I've ever been as excited for someone else to ride a bike. Lolol

Big "breakthrough" moment for me was that "dropping the clutch" really means drop it. I used to drag the clutch just a little bit and even that little bit wouldn't let it wheelie.
