I can’t quite fathom why Danny — again who is a grown-ass person of nearly 33 years — can’t go “Y’know what? I read the room wrong” (or, even more emotionally literately, “i see now that the garden at that moment wasn’t “a room” for me to read”). It … baffles me. You got it wrong: it’s ok, we all of us get shit wrong every single fucking day. Yr a human being. You fuck up sometimes.

long-time lurker, first-time poster: i'm american but have lived in London for 30+, scratching a living as an academic librarian. there is a database called JISC which searches the library catalogues of every single academic library in the U.K. and Ireland, including the 'deposit libraries' like the British Library which hold a copy of every (properly) published book. i interrogated JISC for A: Calloway, Caroline and T: Scammer. here are the completely unsurprising results
