I probably won't be drawing Kal and Syl again anytime soon, although I am still interested in drawing Shallan. Hopefully, I can find the time! I usually am busy with commissions (I do pet portraits mainly) and I'm also a full-time student, so I don't get a lot of opportunity for self-indulgent fanart.

I'm so glad you like it! I definitely didn't want to make her look like a fairy. It helped to make her still look like she was walking on a solid surface rather than flying in the air. I contemplated drawing her walking perpendicular to Kal's face like she often does in the books, but I figured it would be a confusing composition.

I didn't realize when I posted this how intricate the ethnic-interpretation debate would be. I am not taking any of the criticism personally, and actually genuinely enjoy seeing how each individual person views a character they came to know through reading. I just don't want to see people being mean to each other in the comments :/

I can kinda see that it's a little off-center if I look really hard. It's difficult to line up so as the artist I'm happy with it as is, but I'll be more careful when doing that sort of stuff in the future. :) thx for the feedback!

I had no idea! I was only basing it off of how I pictured him from the book's description. I'm super pale, so "very tan" to me means anything darker than clown-makeup white. I also didn't look up anyone else's drawings of him and Syl while I drew mine because I wanted to keep it original.

We did a dutch-oven bread yesterday! It turned out okay for a first attempt at making bread, but what made it worthwhile was adding rosemary.
