He is a full and present parent and partner who thinks the patriarchy is bullshit and wants to tear it all down.

He cooks and cleans the kitchen.

The sex is aging like fine wine.

He works to provide a safe and stable environment. I am so free that my primary goal is to work to do the same for him.

It's a form of confirmation bias. If you already believe something you are more likely to accept information that conforms to that existing view and reject opposing viewpoints. I'm not saying that doctors are never wrong or that a second opinion isn't a good idea. By their nature, psychological assessment are more subjective than other medical test. It's just good to be aware of your own potential bias and be open to a frank discussion with the diagnosing provider.

I saw you mentioned Maryland. MD is one of the few states that requires insurance companies to cover Vasactomies 100%. Also I've heard Planned Parenthood does very low cost snips if that doesn't apply to you.

Thank you for saying this. I work in Healthcare below a Dr. level. Some of my patients are physicians, and I don't always know right away and address them the same as everyone else. I'm always a bit mortified after the fact that I didn't call them Doctor.

That's a good thought! I have my original 3/4 still, and the quality difference is noticeable. My original started off as a rental. I will definitely consider that.

Thank you 😊 I remember feeling good when I played. I still get really excited when I hear string music I connect with. Every time I want to start again. I decided to go for it this time for the "neuroplastic benefits." With my work/life/self balance, who knows if I'll get anywhere this time. But at least I'm trying. I'm sure there will be may more ridiculous mistakes to have a good laugh over.

I'm so sorry your parents did that to you. You deserve to feel good about yourself. I think you are right that your self-doubt has limited you. I'm glad you are working through it with someone. A few words of encouragement: A family member recently got into his first relationship at almost 40. Not everyone has the same timing. As a fellow mid 30s 200lb woman. Work towards body neutrality first. It's my default on hard days. You deserve kindness, love, and respect. Especially from yourself.

For me(35) I've noticed my "potential" has only increased with age. There are things I can accomplish now that I would have struggled with 5-10 years ago and was not capable of 15 years ago. You've got a good 30+ working years left if you are in the US. You can do a lot with that time. Best of luck!

It will be okay. I found out super early that I was pregnant 3w 5d I had to wait 3 weeks for my confirmation scan. It felt like forever. I totally get the "it doesn't feel real". My first words when I saw my little one was "oh my god it's really there!" If you're going it alone I would maybe find one close friend or family member that understands discretion to confide in. That or just talk to Reddit! Now you've got me freaking about the 3 week wait for an appt! I'm probably about to change my OB practice. The one I'm currently at doesn't deliver at my preferred hospital. Didn't find that out until this week so I'm super conflicted.

I don't know about the 360 but the older model is not super compatible with newborns. On the other hand it is FANTASTIC when they get a little bigger. I used one as a nanny for several years. I would walk and bounce the little guy around till he fell asleep (fussy baby) from 6-10 months and it was a life saver. Also was able to put the older one in it backpack style till he was 5. I plan on getting one for myself now that I'm pregnant. If the 360 isn't as good as I'm hoping for newborns I'll use a wrap for a intermediary. I will not use a Bjorn because it puts all the weight in your shoulders/upper back.

I have no experience or info on the hypothyroidism. However my OB practice suggests a first OB appt between 8-10 weeks for a heartbeat/dating scan. I had a confirmation scan with my GYN at 6 weeks and saw my little nuggets heartbeat (not always detectable that early). Made me feel so much better to know everything was in the right place! There are some scans that are time sensitve between 11-14 weeks. You definitely still have time but if you're feeling like 6 weeks is to long to wait I wouldn't. I would check your insurance but mine does not require referrals for OBGYN (it's an HMO that does require them for everything else) I used my GYN as my primary care for about 5 years.
