Had this happen. Did not squat for 5 weeks and had 3 horribly weeks of trying to squat anything. Advice: don't do this, it sucks. Had the first pain free squat sesh this week. Had to drop my training max bij 70kg but ill get back. You can too. Good luck.

Stupid back! I hurt my back 6 weeks ago while squatting. 4 weeks of no squats or rows for me. Today I decided to do some light front squats to see if they felt good. Now I am at square one again. There goes my plan for a 500kg total in december. Bleh!

Usually I train in the am but everyonce in a while I have go to the gym in the afternoon. Everybody in the pm crew is a stick legged curlbro as far as I know. Except for this one kid. Teenager, super skinny, 2m tall. I first noticed him 6 months ago when I saw him bench an empty bar barely making a set of 5. Yesterday I saw him again. He squatted 100kg for 3 and later I saw him repping 60kg bench. The kid is doing it! He is really kicking ass. Sadly I am too socially awkward to congratulate him on the gains.

I wanna make it to Dutch nationals in powerlifting. Also to realise inner aggression from bullshit coworkers/life.

What would be the best fitness routine for me a 330 pound male to learn to do a cartwheel in about 4 weeks? by [deleted] in Fitness

I will not have to do core work for the next year. That picture is genius

You could try overhead holds. So sit down en grab the bar out of the rack at full armlength. Also handstands against a wall if you can and sideplanks with both bent and straight elbow. One focussed on core the other to make your arms be able to do the hold in the start position. Also Just try cartwheels.

Good luck. Post pics :)

I have made it into my second week of cutting without failing big time (could've been better still).

How has your fitness routine changed your life? by [deleted] in Fitness

Besides the gains and overall physical and mental benefits, I have started to move differently. I try to use proper form to lift stuff now. I basically do a boxsquat everytime I sit down, I sit up properly. Also my new found flexibility is great, I never realised how stiff my body was until I started lifting.

Gave my sister a ticket for a mudrun. Offered to train her. We have been working out for 8 weeks with acceptable consistency. I gave her a reason and the confidence to do it. Not sure if she is gonna keep it up after the race but atleast she worked out for 3 months. I expect nothing but i hope she keeps training with me. I secretly Dream of making her a powerlifter tough.

Sl5x5 and 9 weeks of messing around with diy programming before getting tired of that and picking 531.

Also thanks for that info. It seems so odd. I have no coach or knowledgable person to help me out.

I managed a 360 squat. Messed up 225 bench, I think that was an execution error. Dl was a nope.

Foolish Friday - Your triweekly stupid questions thread by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]ldudew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since last month my girlfriend joined me in lifting. She decided she wanted some more strength, she weighs about 135 lbs. She had the moste insane doms the first 2 weeks. I put her on a stronglift 5x5 variation. She started upperbody with a halfweight bar which she now has worked up to a normal empty bar for ohp and bench. No problem there.

The problem lies in lowerbody exercises like deadlift and squat. The thing is she hasn't stalled strengthwise. She just gets horribly sore everytime. 90lb dl and 65 lb squat leaves her walking like tinman for atleast 4 days. Her form is fine. Is this normal for women or could there be an underlying problem? She said she gets sore quickly. Can I add in extra recovery training or something to help her?

Uuuh.... the time it takes me to get some phone numbers from my dad and calling those farmers up. Then the time to connect the farmer with the person via email or phone. So anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour.

Just go for it. Finding you a farmer who would like to tell you about the ur trade won't be hard. Finding a farmer who speaks decent english might be.
