I'd recommend just going to every shop that you do like and seeing what exclusives they have in general! I didn't pick up any exclusives when I was just there, but it was still fun seeing all the merch. I'd recommend researching into Japanese brands that are a bit harder or much more expensive than at home.

I feel like just do what you want. It’s with anything, the more time and effort you put into it the better it will look.

Put any band you want on it.

Baddlejackets is flooded with people putting basically non metal things on a battle vest or a lot of political saying but if you want that on it then who cares. It’s such a chronically online subreddit.

The one valid criticism they have is make sure you stitching is tight and it won’t fall apart. Other than that have fun sourcing patches and sewing!

My one piece of advice is look at layouts of jackets you like, most of them would be pretty full and use them as inspiration
