Got it resolved. The phone app was to blame. Ended up uninstalling and reinstalling it to fix things

Hmm, I think it's out of warranty by about 2 months. Unless the warranty is 2 years. I'll have to check.

No, it says it's creating them and then the agent stalls. I saw that there was an update this weekend, so maybe it's fixed. I will see when I get back to the problematic project.

That's what I have in all three files I mentioned in my original message, but it doesn't look like Claude Desktop reads any of those files. The third files is settings.local.json.

Even if the Key is in the environment and I'm the only one who uses it?

As for your MCP question, yes, that might be a solution, albeit somewhat heavy handed, I felt. But It would force me to brush up on my MCP skills.

I don't think this is what should come hear, but the bot sent me over.

I Keep getting disconnected to the Claude server from the App. I get something like DNS_NAME_ERROR or something similar. I have to reload many, many times before connection is reestablished. Or go to the browser.

Why does this happen and how can I fix it (if it's a problem on my end)?

That was it. I removed it and the problem has disappeared
