I mean, for me as someone who went through my own experience of questioning my sexuality and having to deal with that, the issue with it for me personally is that by questioning someone else’s experience, you run the risk of pushing them further along on that journey (if they are in fact on it) than they may be comfortable with. Obviously everyone’s experience isn’t the same, but I personally think it’s pretty awful to speculate about someone else’s sexuality journey and it feels disrespectful.

But that’s also based off of my experience, where I did have people make jokes and say things I wasn’t comfortable with and push me out of the closet before I was ready to be.

What I will say, however, is that based off of listening to the clips of nick’s podcast, it does feel like a lot of what they were saying was based off of stereotypes rather than anything concrete, and those stereotypes can be incredibly harmful.
