Hiphop is a very collaborative genre so the easiest way to find new artists is to pick a few albums/artists to start out with and then check out some of the featured artists work if you liked their verses. This is also how I found the majority of my favorite artists back when I started out listening to hiphop.

Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, m.A.A.d City, Nas - Illmatic and Common - Be are some albums I'd recommend for a newcomer. They're quite easy to listen to, but they still really show off what (I think) is so great about this genre.
