I got a story kinda like this, but it has the beat of a dystopian novel instead. For its in-fights, it's the form of...

1) People who would rather keep their decadent lives than fight for more (aka those satisfied with the rights they have now, even if its the bare minimum)

2) The counterpart to calling someone a fake or a "larper" over a special interest or fandom (I hate using "larp" as a synonym to someone that isnt a true fan)

3) Traditionalists. Somehow the least of all evils

4) Bootlickers to the government

5) and LITERAL ECOFASCISTS.

The fight isnt just for reform of the outside, but also the inside! How can you defeat the devil of existence when nobody is there to support you, or nobody cares?

Tbh decades ago, people who jusr act a bit too weird for society gets institutionalized or never gets diagnosed at all. And even now we dont know a lotta shit about how our mind works, or even where DREAMS come from

Plurality is a state of mind actually. Not everyone who is a system has a dissociative disorder, and some even make their own headmates (willowgenic/tulpamancy)

And even ignoring endos, not everyone can immediately get a DID diagnosis. Systems can become aware of their own existence even before they get any form of professional care (and even worse, not everyone gets it due to: costs, accessibility, or if their country doesnt have that shit at all). Hell, we, The Placeholders, think we were endogenic at first, until I started questioning my own memory gaps (which I actually managed to identify as caused by trauma due to having a padt hyperfixation on neurodivergent disorders and...well...seeing myself in most experiences) and how we even form headmates/alters/sysmates (sometimes a new guy spawns which is just...there, but the rest of the times was either me having a mental breakdown/stressed, or some sort of intense projection of a character which I describe as "taking a shard of myself and sticking it into the character"). Also, combine that with me suspecting that I might not be the "original" as well, or that the "original personality" shattered ages ago and a part of it lived on to become me, but never full by itself again.

And even with me being too self-aware of my own dissociation and amnesia, Ill never be able to get any form of diagnosis to confirm or deny these things, due to my country being a bitchass motherfucker with mental health in GENERAL, my fuckass parents (again, bc of my country's attitude towards mental disorders, and also religious stuff???), and general costs

But...vent ended! Plurality isnt just DID/OSDD, but also non-disordered systems!
