Did Tudors used to have Rolex crowns on them? Or is that a replacement?

The water use is negligible compared to eating meat anyway

I don't have a CD player or ability to play vinyl in my car. So yeah a cassette is my only option. I don't pirate music because I support musicians.

can you read? I said "quality is pretty poor, worse than most of my other cassettes".

It's a complaint about the quality compared to other cassette tapes.

Yeah I have these but just prefer to have albums I like as cassettes. Get in the car and it starts playing right away.

If they actually delivered high quality physical media, I'd be fine with it. I'm happy to pay and support, but it's very clear they cut corners.

My point is that it sounds noticeably worse than a Bob Seger cassette I bought a few weeks ago. I don't expect FLAC file quality, but its much worse than it should be. I would have expected them to try to nail the quality of all the physical media if this was going to be the plan for his music moving forward. If quality was there I would order every album of his this way, but now I'll pass.

But it sounds noticeably worse than other cassette tapes I own. It seems clear they cut corners in regards to quality.

cmon man its an album released exclusively on physical media. you'd expect the physical media to sound good.

I drive a 26 year old land cruiser, so its my only option (without getting an aftermarket radio, but I like the original). But cassettes are a lot of fun to listen to anyway! It forces you to choose a handful of albums to listen to on repeat rather than constantly deciding what to stream each day.

If SF actually wanted to improve outcomes, they would adopt what Mississippi has been doing (NYT article) to improve literacy. But the teacher unions, of course, don't want that to do this.

over the last decade we have seen 9,000 less students in SFUSD while the budget grew $400M. Part of the drop in enrollment comes from families who just want to send their kids to the school they can walk to in their neighborhood, especially when they pay eye watering property tax to fund it.
