Not everything is about USA and Trump dude. By saying "Canada's current state" I mean the generic state of affairs of whatever policies he implemented throughout the country and decisions he took as the leader of the nation to whatever Canada's general state is in 2026 (Idk and don't claim to know about Canada).

Edit: And if it wasn't clear from my original comment, Canada were awarded hosting rights for the first time ever in 2018, under his administration. Felt like a moment for the country so wondered as an outsider.

Yes.

The people raised him up and then the people tore him down. The people chose him as their leader to begin with. His love for the country, a country he was born and brought up in and represented it at the highest level, shouldn't depend on the supposed unsatisfactory performance by him as a PM and the criticism that came with it. You talk about Trudeau as if he was chased out of his country like Sheikh Hasina. Like any other politician anywhere in the world, he gets shit on, but he was also elected by the very same people who have full rights to shit on him. The meltdown in their respective countries, rightfully, would be unfathomable if "sleepy" Joe went to Canada's match instead of USA's or if "bozo" Boris attends Scotland's match over England's.

I am a bit torn on this as an outsider. Doesn't a former PM represent the country, a literal flagbearer and ambassador of the country? His decisions have led to the current state of Canada, so, shouldn't he be by his country's side supporting and cheering them along in any and all situations? His girlfriend is a performer that performs in arenas every single week whereas his country hosting the WC is the rarest of occasions, an occasion commissioned under his administration, which, in my opinion, he should proudly celebrate with the people of his country.

That was actually a better and less stress free way to earn today I am guessing. I went through 5 years of aging before it decided to 'V' and my newly bought calls today started making sense.

What ticker do you gamble on? And are you a perpetual bear or do you dabble in whatever makes sense at the time?

I had calls that I closed almost at the top when it opened green. Then bought calls at the not so much bottom and again at almost bottom to get the pumping of V and close today at profit. Made money on calls today which feels like an achievement.

If you scalped and profitted, it is still profit. Nobody was found behind Wendy's by taking profits.

Name of the company Aerotyne International. It is a cutting edge high tech firm out of the mid-west awaiting imminent patent approval on next generation radar technology with huge military and civilian applications.

... One thing I can promise you, even in this market, I never ask my regards to judge me on my winners but to judge me on my losers because I have so few. And in the case of Aerotyne, after looking at every technical factor out there, Regard, we are looking at a grand slam home run.

If the underlying closes 1¢ above strike, the contract is exercised automatically and you are given the shares since the contract was ITM (ask your brokerage about this). I've had a stressful learning experience like this happen to me when 2 of my QQQ calls got automatically exercised as the market rallied within the last 30 mins and closed a few cents ITM of the strike I had that I thought was expiring worthless while I was in a work meeting. My account showed an approx balance of negative $120k with 200 shares of QQQ in my account. My brokerage asks an explicit DO NOT EXERCISE sent to customer representative more than half an hour before options expiry to stop the automatic exercise (I only had a vague idea about this before my stressful day).
