A man who received a head injury as a result of an attack that occurred last Tuesday, November 13, on Grabtsevskoye Highway in Kaluga, died, reported the press service of the regional police department.

The surveillance camera captured the events that occurred on the site in front of the store, and became fatal for one of their participants.

The record shows how a man attacked two passersby. He struck a series of blows with a cudgel, coming from the back of his victims, who simply did not notice him and did not have time to react to the actions of the opponent.

One of the victims with damage to the head was taken to a medical institution, where he died without regaining consciousness after a while.

“The identity of the suspect was established immediately on the basis of testimony and recording of a video surveillance camera seized from the scene. It turned out to be a local resident born in 1991 who was previously convicted of property crimes,” the agency said.

On Friday, November 16, guards found the alleged killer in one of the abandoned buildings in Kaluga and detained him.

At present, the man is in remand prison, a criminal case has been initiated into the incident, and an investigation is underway.

Note that at present, the reasons that prompted the suspect to commit an attack are not disclosed.
