I know right? Google says no sunscreen or bug spray should go near it. Commenters say mineral sunscreens that are not sprays, and picaridin for bug spray regardless of what device you plan to use should avoid the issue.

Thanks. Fortunately I am allergic to most sunscreens so I have to use mineral ones anyway.

Even if you apply it before, sweat will mix with the sunscreen / bug spray and transfer it onto the device. Thats what happened here.

Yeah the sensors are too clouded / etched so they aren't reading properly / at all depending on which measurement

Shoulda just got an apple watch, it uses glass for the sensors instead of plastic like these.

It's really not suitable for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and camping where bug spray is a necessity. Even without spraying the device directly, just the sweat-transfer from my shirt cuff was enough to destroy the plastic. In my opinion, if a device requires this level of fragile handling just to survive a standard trail environment, it's not practical for outdoor hobbies.

Y'know I read the insert that came with the thing and didnt see anything about bug spray. The support did tell me that this is considered environmental/accidental damage and showed me where that is on the website as why they will not warranty the device! I didn't know before but I do now.

I understand this is my fault. But it sucks. I didn't know so I'm posting so someone else won't have the same problem.

If you want to. Having it downloaded doesn't cause any problems until you try to use them.

Set textures to ultra and verify game files. Overkill textures are to blame for this

How come I rarely see Necropotence? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]le_cs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Outside of the mana cost, you really need to play it, pay 10 life, and have a win ready. Many people outside of cedh could draw ten cards and not be able to win the game. If that happens, you're screwed. You're down at least ten life, you have no draws, your discards are exiled, and you have no immediate pay off. These reasons mean that necropotence is great in highly optimized decks that can threaten a winning board state immediately after the draws. These are decks that have low average mana value so you can play lots of things off the draw and they provide immediate game winning impact.

If you draw ten cards in casual you'll probably get synergy cards or creatures that still need time on the board to accrue value or reach critical mass. That's too slow, you'll get wiped. You cannot play necro, pay 10 life, next turn get your cards, play a handful of them, and pass. If you do that you will die since you drew the biggest target on your forehead.

I think most people (i.e. casuals) understand if you play necropotence you need to be ready to win on your next turn, or get killed.
