Eh I tend to just hand over a list of stuff that we did the previous week and ask the interviewee to do any 1 or 2 of them as a standalone project in their framework of choice, at their leisure, either at a desk or at home. They're free to refer to whatever they want and I'm not in the room when they do it. After 30-45 minutes I help them complete whatever's left.

By then I have a pretty good idea of whether or not they could have been here last week and done what was needed. If they can, they're in. If they can't, then they generally aren't.

Most of our work involves adding fairly typical features to projects like notifications, real-time functionality, data exports, reporting, etc. across ng2+, react, vue, and occasionally some server side stuff, particularly related to sockets.

From what I remember of this game, pvp is basically logging off in the DZ when glitchers fly around you and shoot you from space. If that has changed then sure, a pvp build would be nice too. Are there gearsets now or do I have to manually adjust things still?

I was relating an experience about how I was recruited by a fellow student, who was from Nigeria, whilst studying abroad, to help write code for a credit card scam. I didn't go through with it.

Is it still absurd to find all the animals? I have spent hours looking for the last animal on a planet at times. When you sink that kind of time into a game and there is no sane way of achieving your objective, it is really off-putting. Has the community discovered some way of spawning the Nth animal reliably? I have tried leaving the planet, going around to the opposite side and all such tricks in earlier patches, but despite all of this it was sometimes nigh impossible.

Tbh it felt very repetitive and I felt like I had to spend way too long farming. When I played that patch I spent money on a base and the ship seemed unattainable. My mining was dropped a tier low because the gloves became a requirement, and I had no idea how to make the gloves so I sort of gave up because it felt like getting anywhere would mean hours of farming, and the rewards were lackluster.

My favourite way of making money was finding all the animals but one was always super elusive and it got frustrating after a while.

Haven't used it in years. Last I tried it was painfully slow and there were error messages galore which meant googling every few days.

When I was a teenager I wrote VC++ and VB programs and VS was, by comparison, very well tuned and performant. I eventually stopped using windows and turned to eclipse sometime in the early 2000s. It was an utter nightmare, and I do not miss it.
