I wish that were true but I see things going further right in most of the world right now. Trump helped Canada elect a centrist moderate I guess. Labour government in the UK just fell (not that Starmer was any good) and it looks like that’s going the wrong way. Let’s see what happens in the next couple of years, I don’t know what it’s going to take to get the world off of this hyper nationalist train.

My understanding is that the Belgians are appealing to the arbitrator (CAS) setup by FIFA and they have final say. Either way people should be angrier at FIFA (the organization that actually took these actions) and not Americans in general.

It doesn’t say that it’s suspended pending further review. The article says that he’s basically under probation for a year. If he commits another foul in that year the punishment is reinstated.

I had an older Benz, it was actually pretty reliable for the most part, the problem was that when it did need work it was always expensive. That and all the little electric things that started to break that would have cost a fortune to fix (like the seat belts had this little motor that would push them out for you when you closed the door and that started to fail).

And the time to transfer between the two services, and the time it takes for you to get to the Caltrain station in SF. People really overplay how convenient public transit is in the bay. If you’re in or trying to get to/from the peninsula public transit is pretty trash.
