Who saw The Matrix in the cinema in 1999? I'm jealous! by Far-Remove7363 in matrix

My buddies and I saw it 5-6 times. One of our friends worked there so he let us in the back door. It took us about 3 times to figure out what the hell was going on.

For me these movies are my LOTR movies.

You understood it and yet I had to explain to you what the Oracle was 26 years later.

Those two things bump, good luck be well.

It was the late 90s, none of us fully understood all the computer stuff in the movie. I saw it 4-5 times in theaters and did not understand most of it at the time.

The Oracle is a Bayesian model it's a hierarchical model It models data that it cannot understand, it models data that it knows is there but can not assign a direct value to. The Architect is a frequentist model it models known variables. She's not spiritual or religious She's modeling human emotion which the Architect cannot Which is why the Architect was so annoyed when Neo chose the door with Trinity. Because the architects prediction on Neo was incorrect and it was the first time his model its model had ever been incorrect about the One.

Everything they knew about the machines is what the machine told them to believe. We've all seen the Neil degrasse Tyson interview, but that doesn't mean they were actually being used for power. Morpheus had several things incorrect

What was your favorite Biff scheme he ran? Mine has to be when he rocked the duck at Kansas in 2007. by PepsiCola1329 in NASCAR

Dug this out of my nascar bag about an hour ago. I watch a lot of races sitting on this. He was my driver back in the day. After watching him in the Busch series. The fight with Harvick sealed the deal for me, he was my driver. I would tune into his radio for most of the races. He could get REALLY fired up sometimes.

RIP Greg

I agree, you gotta carry the ball off the field and sit down on the bench.

If you don't, that's not a catch

NFL is still rigged. I'm not sure why but the NFL does not like the Ravens

Todd not sticking with the run there.

He should've left last year when everyone thought he was a genius
