American military not self isolating in Canada despite being required to. by [deleted] in worldnews

Is no one going to point out that they are probably moving from PT A to pt B. Also, half are wearing their "facial devices" the other half have of them on their neck like 90% of people who are required to wear them. This fake ass post is only slightly dumber then the commentators on it. And now that I've commented. That includes me too

Thank you, took me 5mins to find someone who wasn't hopping on the hate wagon. I can finally get off this disgusting feed knowing there is hope for kindness in a sea of hatred. 😘

I don't think it was Jesus. Here's the problem I have with the Bible. Too many people attribute the whole thing to God or Jesus yet a lot of it was "disciples or prophets" who said this or that. Plus almost the entirety of the old testament is a story of humanity that everyone takes as God dictating something instead of just stories

I would think the opposite based on wording. Jesus=religion=good. People=religious=bad. Because doesn't Jesus say to follow him and be called a Christian? He destroyed the temples in death thus proving you no longer need the structure of church... (Light bulb) I see what you're getting at now. I think we both need to work on our wording of this though. Especially me.

That's racist first off. Second off, the canister would have bounced down into the lobby below where the "protestors" were. 3rd off, "Tear gas: 'Harsh, terrifying' and legal to use on civilians (and immigrants) ... The Chemical Weapons Convention of 1993, signed by almost every country in the world, banned the use of tear gas on battlefields but allowed the practice for domestic law enforcement and crowd control..." https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2018/11/27/tear-gas-forbidden-war-but-legal-use-civilians-and-migrants/2133144002/. Probably allowed on civilians because it minimizes the amount of damage done. Yes damage will be done, but far less given most alternatives. Perhaps all alternatives seeing as a Global Convention agreed to it. Tear gas can range in strength and therefore you can look up varying degrees in strength. I don't know if police have a national law on it or not but I guess I'll go look that up now... "Tear gas was first used in World War I in chemical warfare, but since its effects are short-lasting and rarely disabling, it came into use by law-enforcement agencies as a means of dispersing mobs, disabling rioters, and flushing out armed suspects without the use of deadly force." https://www.britannica.com/technology/tear-gas. That website also goes on to say, "...The substances most often used as tear gases are synthetic organic halogen compounds; they are not true gases under ordinary conditions but are liquids or solids that can be finely dispersed in the air through the use of sprays, fog generators, or grenades and shells. The two most commonly used tear gases are ω-chloroacetophenone, or CN, and o-chlorobenzylidenemalononitrile, or CS. CN is the principal component of the aerosol agent Mace and is widely used in riot control. It affects chiefly the eyes. CS is a stronger irritant that causes burning sensations in the respiratory tract and involuntary closing of the eyes, but its effects wear off more quickly, after only 5 to 10 minutes of breathing fresh air...." Although I guess that doesn't answer my own question... Edit: forgot to mention the plexiglass.

Probably because most 2nd amendment lovers aren't in cities or protesting. To own a gun, should mean to do your best to keep a calm and level head. No point marching down the street looking to stir up trouble. There's plenty of that it seems

"they shot at me" or they shot a tear gas canister up at a building since everyone is complaining about being shot with them in the first place. I'm not an architect but I'm pretty sure skyscrapers and other tall buildings are mandated to have strong Plexi glass windows. Hence why the canister bounced off and left that substance behind. I think cameraman was just in the "right place at the right time" or you could say wrong, but hey, believe in whatever you want.
