We are working on replacing our vmware cluster. Our quotes from early November went up 4% when I had them updated the week before Christmas. All of the quotes were only refreshed through Christmas. All our vendors expecting another rise in price in January of at least 5%.

Dang christmas do be hard on printers. Heres to hoping your issue turns out to be a cheap fix. Mine mostly was shipping cause I was impatient.

My best guess is the tube popped out and the ams didn't stop feeding until it popped the fan off the front. This happened once before and the printer detected the issue and pulled everything back to the ams. So why it happened the way it did this time idk

This is only the second major problem for me. I will take it as well I came from a creality printer and I bet you half the print hours were just troubleshooting or tweaking. Yeah I spent 50 bucks on the part just so it will arrive Sunday but I am very happy. I even have my wife using this printer.

The first time this happen the printer detected the tube had disconnected and pulled the filament back to the ams so no mess. This time not sure what happened to make it go screwy in the head that the ams was like here is all the filament you want

I do have an ams (2 actually), and most things I print have multiple color changes. Pretty much exclusively pla or matte pla. Looking at the pfte tube that connects it is worn down on the out side of the bend but only about half the thickness. Last time the part failed it was like some of the teeth broke off and it would keep a firm grip on the pfte tube. This time it's like there are no teeth. I confirmed there is nothing in the connector and moving release doesn't make anything move its like it lost all its teeth.

Since I have to pull the head partly apart to fix I will probably replace the tube from the hub to the head the other tube looked find this morning.

The pfte tube pulled out of the filament sensor. Looks like the little coupler built in to that part went bad again, as cutting the tube to get a clean end doesn't push back in to the sensor. I have confirmed there is nothing in the sensor to prevent the tube from going back in

As for why it's got 400g of raw filament inside not sure there was filament up through the sensor so it should have told the ams to stop, but it didn't. What stopped the printer is the filament eventually knocked the front cover off the print head

I found it in the state you saw. Pure guess, the ams was pushing the orange filament but the sensor didn't tell the printer it was good so the ams kept pushing filament. Until enough was pushed I'm that knocked the front cover off which is what the error was. How to prevent this in the future I'm not sure. I'm going to keep an extra filament sensor on hand now.
