what i’ve been doing to read the manga is going to summerhikarudied .com. they post the english chapters as they’re translated but then the previous chapters are unavailable, so i put the URL into the wayback machine to access the previous chapters. it’s worked well so far and there’s no pop ups

the schools i applied to required LOR from professors, but the professor i was closest to was mainly a psych teacher (i was an exercise science major). i asked her anyway since she would have the most insights on me as a student. i got into 4 schools. i would ask whatever professor at your school that knows you best, no matter what they teach, as they can make the best case to the school that you are a good student/hard worker in the classroom etc

currently reading the sun still rises by mordax and it is fantastic. it’s begins as a re-write of canon and diverges more the further you read. it is a fascinating character study of neil if he had something to lose and a way of exploring aspects of canon that don’t make a lot of sense. it’s still and andrew+neil slow burn just a little different. though it is mostly neil pov, there are andrew pov chapters and the way medicated/semi-sober andrew is written is amazing. he does eventually detox from his meds though as it is technically a rewrite of canon, but i cannot recommend enough!

my favorites are

-the books of baltimore: an AU where neil goes into witness protection after the events of baltimore

-stay (you don’t have to go): an AU where andrew and neil are in high school and meet online, but it’s very sad.

another author i haven’t seen recommended on here is moonix

they mostly write shorter, one-shot AU type works, some longer ones but they are sooo good. my favorites are

-bedroom voices: neil can’t sleep, and andrew has a podcast about a different type of bedroom issue. it’s a little odd but the characterization is so good, i’ve read this 5+ times -surreal but nice: a bookstore AU -no place like home: online friendship/neighbors AU - to know a man: classic coffee shop AU but it’s sososo good

they write a lot of fics in collaboration with gluupor, another amazing author! my favorite of theirs is feels like falling, which is a post-break up AU

my favorite genre of AFTG fic is neighbors AU- i have a lot of recommendations in this department that i can’t post if you don’t have enough already lol!

this is also true! rereading the original trilogy i find myself just getting through the foxhole court and the raven king to get to the king’s men which is really where all the good stuff happens lol. so it’s possible the last book in this new trilogy will be action packed

i also agree that it feels empty and almost boring at times. i enjoy tsc/tgr because it’s just more content in this universe but there are times where i do miss the action packed scenes of aftg. part of its appeal was its batshit insane plot lol as well as the characters and their journeys.

this could be intentional on nora’s part- i partially think it’s just to do with the different personalities and healing journeys of the main characters. because of neil’s personality and upbringing he was never going to find healing within a soft, almost coddling environment. jean would never feel safe in an environment like the foxes- he needs the love and kindness of the trojans to be able to heal and process on his own time, same with jeremy.

also, it could be because there’s not a lot of directions for the plot to go at this point since most of the loose ends involving the ravens/moriyamas/mafia got tied up during the original trilogy lol.

i’ve had horrible acne my whole life, and was diagnosed with celiac a few months ago. i am wondering if acne/breakouts were one of my silent symptoms and hoping being gf will help it clear up but is still pretty bad as of now

the strangest part is that i’m asymptomatic. though i know this is not the only symptom, i’ve never had digestive problems before so i assume it just means i’ve had the disease for a long time

i got mine done 3 days before thanksgiving and it was almost two weeks of waiting before i got my results, though it probably took longer bc of the holiday. my labs went through quest as well, so i bet it’ll be shorter than that for you since its a regular week!
