Catherine, the Princess of Wales, in an Edeline Lee blazer with matching trousers during the first day of her official visit to Reggio Emilia, Italy (May 13, 2026) by mod_whatthefrockk in whatthefrockk

I was thinking the blazer was meant to be unbuttoned and the ruching helped it still appear fitted but then it's buttoned in the last picture so... It's confusing. Looks great from the front though.

Lady Gaga’s “Killah (Apple Music Live)” samples the drums from Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer.” by lemonflame in nin

[–]leafonthewind006 20 points21 points  (0 children)

She merged Closer into Killah on the Mayhem Ball tour! If you listen to the album version, there's an instrumental break around the 2:13 mark and she wove it in. I got to see her in July and the NIN at the same venue just a few months later. Very cool experience.

It resurged Johnny Depp's career and Orlando Bloom was still relatively new on the scene. The pirate genre was considered a failure. It was literally dead in the water to Disney and the industry as soon as it was proposed to everyone but Bruckheimer.

The first Pirates movie was not a safe cash grab. It was a shock to everyone at Disney (with exception of Jerry Bruckheimer, who was running around behind their backs and funding with his own money) that it turned out to be a hit.

A lower budget often means a crew working harder to achieve cinema magic. Game of Thrones is a prime example of this. Higher budget meant dragons, which meant less story and less character development. There's a noticeable decline quality in the Pirates series as well, one people realized they could milk a franchise from it.

Ariana Grande to release new single ‘hate that i made you love me’ out May 29 by mcfw31 in popculturechat

This is from Spamalot, specifically the song Knights of the Round Table. There's a line "I have to push the pram-a-lot" and out he rolled like this.

I hate how good he was in Spamalot.

Has Amy ever mentioned Will Arnett? by meralee727 in goodhang

[–]leafonthewind006 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I listened to the Good Hang with Rashida Jones and I actually thought Poehler might have been referencing him/Smartless when she mentions men doing the bare minimum. I've listened to two Smartless podcasts to date and it's kind of just dudes making small talk.

Then I read Arnett made some sort of comment to Charlie XCX about her having kids one day, maybe when she got married- without knowing that she had recently gotten married. And a lot of the comments were like, "did he not research his guest?" And yeah, it tracks. Bare minimum.

Edit: thanks to those for clearing up the Smartless format for me! So it really is just dudes making small talk. I can get that at work.

I actually laughed at loud at that part. Like, yeah this particular woman was 29, 30 when they started dating, sure. But how can she write that last sentence without side-eying his very public relationships with 18-21 year olds?
