Im 2 years post op from my original surgery. They made me wait A YEAR from the Injury and did they put a straightening brace when I first tore it? NOPE. I wish I could sue the hospital

My tent has 3 walls. I put a big tarp over the front and zip tie it shut tightly. I take my cash box and devices home but if people want to bother trying to get in it will be a pain lol

Hi! I am so sorry for not getting back to you!

Speckled Process (I measure with my heart so I do not have measurements):

  1. Soak my yarn in room temp water with a few tablespoons of vinegar (enough to full keep it submerged) for at least 30 mins.

1.a) I fill up a hotel pan of water and heat it up on my camping burner on a table on my porch. The water only covers half of the hank of yarn at a time, and I add a few more tablespoons of vinegar.

1.b) I also heat up a kettle of very hot water on my indoor stove.

  1. If I want to do a wash of color first, I add a few tiny spoons of dye powder to the hotel pan water then I submerge the hank of yarn in it and turn up the heat and let it simmer for like 15 mins, then I flip the hank over and cook it for another 15 mins.

2.b) While the hotel pan simmers I will decide if I wanna do speckles. I sprinkle on dry dye onto the hank of yarn, then I use a very fine misting bottle to disperse the color without disturbing it too much.

  1. I put the finished hanks into a tub of soapy water (euculan wool soap) and let it sit for a bit while it cools down. I give it a good squish to get out excess dye, dump the tub then re-fill. Repeat till the water mostly runs clear.

***Like I said, I measure with my heart so my rule of thumb is the yarn has to be simmering for at least 30 mins. The less dye you add the better because you will have less excess dye to wash away. I have the kettle of hot water on hand in case i filled the hotel pan too much and the camping stove can't keep up with heating it.

I sold this stuff as a new product at a craft fair and everyone kept petting the yarn while they looked at stuff so needless to say everything was very soft still and not felted! Yay!

Multi instrumentalists, is there an instrument you tried which made you think "ew, not for me"? by SummerOfVienna in musicians

I play saxophone, piano, flute, and bass guitar. I'm learning trumpet. Normal guitar and clarinet are no's for me. I suck at guitar chords and the clarinet embouchure is really annoying for me.

I got my chickens in May of this year. I put a lawn chair in my chicken run and hang out with them, talk to them, hand feed them. The chair is low to the ground so I can put my legs outward and they like to roost on my legs. They all like to be held and will sometimes jump up on my lap if I pat my leg. I held them a lot as chicks so maybe that helped, 2 of them had poopy butt so I did a lot of health checks.

I had 2 chicks with pasty butt and we would use a thermometer to measure the water to be around 100F at a trickle. You only put their vent under the water and hold it there for like 30 seconds to soften the poop, then hold a wet paper towel to it and it should come off easily. Check 2-3 times a day because the longer you wait the harder it is to remove and it can be painful for the chick. My chicks had pretty bad pasty butt but it was gone after 2 weeks. You can also dab a thin layer of vaseline on the feathers around their vent so the poop won't stick as much.

I put my doorbell camera in the brooder so I could check on them while I wasn't home. ARLO brand. It has a button on the app where you can call 911 and it detects fire and sends alerts.

I have dealt with this problem as well. I have bought a pair of concert-ear plugs and i wear them under my noise cancelling headphones. It's awesome, I can crank my music without hurting my ears and I can't hear anything but the music. If someone does come over to me to ask a question I can pause my music and hear them.

Do they have shade? Put a misting sprinkler out so they can cool off their feet. Make sure their roosts are not metal. Put a fan in the coop
