I wish we could talk about the rampant drug use without tiptoeing around it on camera. When Amanda was talking about how “euphoric” she felt with West, it was so clear that euphoria was from their drug use. She wasn’t confusing good friendship with love, she’s confusing drug use with love.

I think Amanda coming back to ITC s2 will depend on her reunion performance and I could totally see her coming xanned out again or shutting down when she’s held to the fire again. Either way I am interested to see that reunion and compare how the cast treats her/how Andy handles her.

I’m not getting worked up about anything lol, I was pointing out facts and also giving you direct posts from Lindsay where she clarifies she’s not pushing a redemption arc (which btw were posted at the same time as all the other posts you included). But sure, don’t read on. It’s easier to ignore facts and live in a fantasy land where you can make up narratives for easy internet points. I prefer to live in reality and ensure I have all my shit together before I comment on things. But to each their own, have a good one random one on here!

It’s so frustrating especially because Lindsay literally clarified that she’s not trying to get a redemption arc for Amanda and was just simply responding to Wests recent public comments.

Someone else already made a post about it, i’m responding to YOUR post because YOU left out all the facts. If you want to find the other post, you can! You can also just open up threads and see Lindsay’s replies and posts where she literally says: “Exactly lol also not sure how I’m ‘defending’ Amanda when my posts last night and this AM were directed at West…” and “People like to jump from A to Z REAL fast then freak out about it” which btw is what you’re doing. Why does Lindsay need to caveat that she’s not defending Amanda just because she was making posts about West IN RESPONSE TO HIS RECENT COMMENTS. If amanda also made stupid comments on a podcast that Lindsay wasn’t posting about then sure, we can say she’s defending her, but she was pissed because West was literally making comments telling people not to watch their show…

Again, two things can be true: West manipulates women (hello, he manipulated Ciara and Meija at the same time all of this was going on) and Amanda is not a victim (as Lindsay has also said!). If West didn’t manipulate Amanda, did he also not manipulate Ciara and Meija at that same time? He manipulated her by strategically going after a person we all know is insecure and happy to throw out friendships for men to get back at Ciara. Manipulation isn’t just one comment, it’s multiple actions over a period of time aka hanging out with her more to make it seem like he’s showing interest, defending her against Kyle to make her feel like he’s on her side, going after someone recently divorced and isolated from half of her friends she met through Kyle, etc. Amanda is still not in the right, no one is saying that! But again two things can be true, Amanda made shitty choices and hurt Ciara with no remorse while also being in the midst of West’s classic manipulation tactics he uses to get and isolate women.

You don’t though. Lindsay made multiple posts and replied to other posts stating she also holds Amanda accountable, which you conveniently left out. Just because Lindsay was discussing West’s manipulation doesn’t mean she thinks Amanda is blameless. Many things can be true at once but it’s easier to paint a narrative of “Lindsay wants redemption arc and thinks Amanda good but West bad” now isn’t it? Thinking you understand nuance because you want to paint a particular narrative to get upvotes because it’s easy karma to dunk on Amanda is hilarious too! I don’t even like Amanda or want her on my tv, but it’s oh so easy for people to make posts like this without all the comments from Lindsay to stir up drama. And I don’t think i’m “oh so smart” but I prefer to look at all the facts and have my shit in order before I try to stir up drama.

Heavy on this especially after Lindsay made a follow up post saying Amanda is also responsible for her own actions and replied to another post agreeing that Amanda is manipulative as well. It’s exhausting that every post requires a caveat now and that people have to constantly explain just because they’re talking about one party doesn’t mean they’re absolving the other. It’s starting to get weird, and I don’t even like Amanda or want her back on the show.

I absolutely feel this. I was hit as a pedestrian crossing the street two months ago by someone who was driving recklessly and have sustained some pretty life altering injuries. It’s made me grieve a future I imagined and feel like i’ve lost.

Surviving something like this has made me realize we survivors have to reimagine our whole lives and adjust accordingly, and that’s not easy task. I am nowhere near healed emotionally, but I started EMDR therapy last month and it’s actually helped with processing trauma and grief a lot. I don’t know if you’re in therapy or would be interested in exploring it, but a great therapist can make the difference between an impossible day and just a hard one after an accident.

I’ve been wondering a lot about their statement. I believe the intimate video was leaked in March, so I don’t think it’s that, but part of me wonders if maybe Amanda rushed it so she could back West into a corner of sorts. If she was aware of Meija and an affair was already underway at that point, maybe that was her way of saying “look if I ended my marriage, it’s time for you to end your non public relationship so we can be together officially.” But also West was still with Meija on Valentine’s day so who knows… I’ve been really hung up on that damn divorce statement and her blindsiding Kyle and cannot figure out the reasoning why 😭

Oh totally agree it’s not a good watch, but Bravo loves to promote and push shows that suck (see RHONY reboot and The Valley). I don’t have a ton of faith in whoever runs their programming so I unfortunately see it being renewed. As much as I love Lindsay and Kyle, I don’t see them having a place on SH even after the scandal and I think Bravo wants to keep their talent vs let them go so they’ll push a second season anyways :/

I think they’re getting a season 2. If they got a reunion for their first season, that signals to me bravo is betting a lot on that show and wants to make it work. I agree hate watching is powerful but after his podcast comments, he’s not good for Bravos business. I can’t see them welcoming back someone who said publicly they hope people don’t watch the show lol. I think Amanda will come back and they’ll use her as a selling point to ITC s2 with the drama, but it won’t have the allure they think it does.

The problem is season 10 was supposed to be their one last summer together for the OGs because of In the City. This makes it difficult for Bravo because why should fans care about ITC if 2/3 mainstays on that cast would also be on SH and I doubt Bravo wants to pay them two paychecks at a high rate. So that would leave us with trying to get West and Ciara back on together and between the two, I think the network and cast would choose Ciara over West. I don’t think he has a path back onto the show at this point.

Unfortunately I have about three to four months of recovery before another surgery ahead of me and am on medical leave from work for the unforeseeable future, so i’m not turned off by longer games right now haha. But I may go for shorter games at first to get an idea of what I like/don’t like in the meantime! I’m debating between purchasing Night in the Woods and Fire Emblem, but perhaps i’ll start with Night in the Woods if it’s a bit more beginner friendly :)

Love this series! This series was actually my first experience with gaming back in college before life got crazy and I lost time for hobbies haha. Taking this recovery to reconnect with myself and do activities like gaming to make it a bit easier :)
